Regarding the 5 Star Downtown, it was on Priceline. Any idea of what it may be?
Thanks
Also, does anyone know what the 5 Star in Downtown Miami could be?
Hi, I am currently looking for a hotel for our family vacation during winter break. I wasn't sure if this should be merged with my thread in the Priceline forum regarding a resort in Miami Beach, as this is Hotwire.
Anyways, any thoughts regarding what hotel this may be? I am thinking of splitting my stay into two hotels or two bids.

Could it be the Loews?
Thu, Dec 20 to Sat, Dec 29
Thanks! I have booked before with Priceline for our family of 4. Usually I see what the hotels are, and if they have 2 beds in their standard rooms. South Beach area usually does not.
On Hotwire, South Beach starts at $355 and there is no Miami Beach for my dates.
If Im planning on going from December 20 to January 5, how do you suggest I split my bid? Thanks
I am planning a family vacation, and those are the dates that I have available. We have already booked the flight. Would you say I should not try PRICELINE? Would I still get somewhat of a deal? That property looks amazing.
Hi, I am looking to bid for December 20 to January 5.
Resort Miami Beach
Does anyone know what the Resort in Miami Beach might be?
Thanks!
What? Yeah, I used the link.. that doesn't help me with my question.
Hi everyone,
I have noticed a new option that has not been listed before. The RESORT star level is now available for Miami Beach. I understand that the Loews was previously listed as a RESORT, but in the Collins Avenue Oceanfront section. This is the Miami Beach section, and it only seems to include hotels from 98th Street to 23rd Street. The Loews is not in that area. I would like to know what hotel you think this could be. Something weird that I have noticed when youo goto the list view of hotels in Miami and choose rating for RESORT, sometimes it says 2 hotels beside resort, but when I update the hotel list there is only one, the Loews. I am not sure what hotel this could be. Please help! I am searching for December 20 to January 6.
I decided too book it because the rate was so good, especially for a busy time like March. I was very happy to receive the Westin Diplomat Resort and Spa. The address is for the Beach Location! I am very pleased.

I was thinking it would be the Westin Diplomat, because it appears that whenever the Hotwire Rating is 95% the Diplomat is the one people get. But, the Tripadvisor rating as not the same as the Diplomat's Tripadvisor rating... So, what do you think? Thanks!
Wow you are dropping about 5 grand just to sleep, but that should be a nice vacation.
It's our family vacation :) 2 kids and 2 adults. I confirmed with the hotels there will be 2 beds in each room. Last year we scored an excellent deal at the Fontaineblea for $200. Everything is so expensive this year, but I need to escape the cold Toronto winters, and we really don't want to stay at a bad hotel.
Yes, everything was over $350 for my dates in retail!
Thanks for your help. This is what I got:
December 23, 2011 - January 2, 2012
The Palms Hotel & Spa
4 Star Miami Beach
$300 / Night
January 2, 2012 - January 8, 2012
Renaissance Eden Roc
4 Star Miami Beach
$200 / Night
The Palms is a little over budget. Hopefully it's nice!
I had to bid on 2 separate reservations to get the best deal. They were not accepting for my entire stay.
December 23, 2011 - January 2, 2012
The Palms Hotel & Spa
4 Star Miami Beach
$300 / Night
January 2, 2012 - January 8, 2012
Renaissance Eden Roc

I have visited the Eden Roc previosuly and it is a beautiful hotel, so I am very happy with that. I have never seen the Palms, so I'm a little worried. Has anyone been there before? Is it nice?
Thanks.
Sorry, my dates are December 23 to January 8. I noticed the rates for the Eden Roc on priceline went down to $228 for January 1 to 8, so maybe I should bid for that time, and see what I can do for the rest. Thanks a lot for your help, I really appreciate it!
My dates are December 21 to January 8. What do you suggest I do? Last year at around this time we bid and got the Fontainbleau for 18 nights for $210/night. It's starting to get frustrating when I keep raising the price and nothing gets accepted. Please help! Thanks very much!
Its for my Deceber/January vacation - 16 nights in total. I have tried only the Miami Beach area. Should I just wait? Is it likely the prices will go down?
I've gone up to $233/night on price line for a 4 Star hotel in Miami Beach and they are still not accepting. What should I do? Thanks.
I clicked it!!
Hello, I am trying to book a hotel via priceline.com in the Miami Beach section. My dates are December 23 to January 8. I have gone up to $225 per night and still nothing has been accepted. Do I need to bid higher, or should I just wait? Will the prices eventually go down? Can you help? Thanks!
Has anyone used last minute travel? Is it safe? Legit? Thanks!
I bet it's the Fontainebleau.
