  2. Dates: $62 a night --- Hot Rate 4* French Quarter-Mississippi River $410.13 total for 5 nights 12.03.17 - 12.08.17 Amenities Business center Fitness center Internet access Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Self-service laundry Smoke-free rooms Spa services Tennis nearby Regular rates are listed from $101 - $131 on the different websites for those dates. Thank you for previously mentioning that "Tennis nearby" might be the Hilton ... which is the hotel we were hoping for. I did use your "Hotwire" button next to the French Quarter-Mississippi River hotel listings to book.
  3. The hotel hasn't changed in the last 2 years ... a nice stay, but we did have a problem with noise. It finally became too much and we asked to move. They moved us to the "quiet floor" -- I had no idea there was such a floor ... and it was great! The hotel ended up having the noisy people leave the hotel ... there were teenagers sitting in the hall way, sitting on either side of other peoples doorway, having a great time ... no mean voices ... just outside voices. The parents were having a large party of some sort in the room. This started at noon, and we finally had to call at around 8 PM. The hotel did apologize and offered 2 buffet breakfasts for the next day.
  4. This was our first experience with an Embassy Suites. The hotel was large and relatively quiet. The rooms were clean. They do have a complimentary breakfast with fruit / cereal / made to order omelets and 1 day there were pancakes, and the 1 day there was french toast. They complimentary managers reception was nachos with cheese and salsa (very good) and pretzel pieces with mustard (too salty). I couldn't believe there was no charge for the wine, soda, and some people were having mai-tais. They had a business center on the 2nd floor with at least 3 computers and a printer. There was a kiosk next to the reception counter that could print out only boarding passes. The airport shuttle was good ... during peak hours every 30 minutes. They did pick up at another hotel first .. but our shuttle had only 1 passenger in it when it arrived. We used Prime Time Shuttle for pick up from Amtrak, and I believe it was around $47. We had actually heard horror stories about Prime Time, but our driver was great, even though he had an almost full van when he arrived to pick us up. He did ask if he could drop off the airport customers first ... and of course that was no problem. There was nothing around the hotel, so you would need to drive or catch a cab, if you wanted to go to a restaurant or do any shopping. A very nice stay.
  5. This hotel was very nice. The front desk and shuttle people were very friendly and accommodating. They offer complimentary pickup / drop off from Amtrak and the airport. The room was clean ... the A/C a little noisy ... but it is an older hotel. We ate at the Pub one night ... as we had arrived very late from Vancouver ... and the food was delicious ... large servings, tasty and pleaseant servers. We tried the restuarant 2 times, with the same result. There was a huge Fred Meyer beside the parking lot. They had a great deli ... an easy lunch. They did have computers and a printer set up on the 2nd floor by the elevator.
  6. This was a wonderful deal from Priceline! The hotel was bright and clean. The room was large and well laid out. They did have a laundry room -- 1 front load washer and 1 dryer. The complimentary morning breakfast had cereals / oatmeal / fruits / doughnuts / and a different "egg mcmuffin" type breakfast sandwhich every day. There was an Albertsons across the street. There are a number of restaurants in the area ... we tried 5 Point Cafe and Zekes Pizza ... and would go back to both any time! We never even used the shuttle ... walked to the Space Needle and Pike Place Market. The cab to/from Amtrak was around $10. Thank you again for your help ... this hotel was a real winner!!
  7. I have been trying for hotels in Vancouver for a while ... won the Sheraton Vancouver Airport Hotel for one night 9/13/2012: $65.00 bid $ 5.00 bonus bucks $ 5.00 insurance $18.51 tax $88.51 total The Sheraton website shows $227.42 as the lowest AAA rate. I did use your PRICELINE link ... thank you!
  8. I had previously tried $60, then $65 ... but no luck. I did $70 today and did win the Best Western Plus Lakeway Inn. All of the bids did have the $5 Bonus Bucks ... so I bid $70, but Priceline shows $75. 2 rooms $ 70.00 a night $ 30.00 insurance (I know, I know .... but I always take it) $450.00 subtotal $ 64.20 tax $514.20 total I will now cancel our regular reservation at this same hotel ... which showed a total of $691.72. As always .. I did use your PRICELINE link ... thank you, again!
  9. I hope I have all of the pertinent info there .... I've been trying Priceline for about a month for LAX for 2 nights in May. I did start at $46 ... $50 ... and won at $55. All 3 times were with bonus $ ... this time $6 a night. Total $146.74. Did use your PRICELINE link .... thank you.
  10. Thank you .... thank you ... thank you ..... it was the Hyatt Place Seattle/Downtown on 6th Avenue ... they even have a complimentary shuttle within 1 mile of the hotel. I did use your HOTWIRE link. $64.00 a night 3 nights $40.80 fees and charges $9.31 travel insurance $242.11 total
  11. Yes, that is the offer that I saw ... I was just wondering which hotel that might be. Thank you.
  12. Any idea which hotel this might be on Hotwire? Downtown Seattle Center-Space Needle 6 icons: smoke free complimentary breakfast fitness center pool business center high-speed internet still gathering reviews Thank you.
  13. This is for pre-cruise ... so I did try $60 and $63 (just for the heck of it), but did win at $65 (as others have) ... with taxes/fees $167.12. We had stayed here 2 years ago, pre-cruise, and the hotel was fine. The free shuttle to the pier was good, as was walking to the Port's of Call for dinner. There were a few other restaurants nearby ... and on Fridays there was a "mini" Farmers Market on 6th Street (I believe that is the same street that the hotel is on). I did use your PRICELINE link ... thank you (again!!).
  14. Just a follow up: This was a WONDERFUL stay!! The hotel itself is architecturally stunning .. the room height must have been over 15 feet high. The room was twice the size of most hotel rooms, but the bathroom was much smaller, There was a dressing area with double closet and sink on the outside. The kitchen was complete with dishwasher (although we only used the fridge) and dishes/cutlery. Housekeeping was extremely thorough and everything was quite clean. The breakfast was great and on Tues/Wed/Thurs evening there is a "managers reception" which eliminates the need for dinner elsewhere. The front desk staff was always cheerful and upbeat ... would stay there again, without any hesitations.
  15. Live and learn ... but we would stay there again in a heartbeat ... especially at $38.
  16. Just a follow up: :nice stay ... everyone was very pleasant :when arriving very late at night, the phone in baggage claim connects to the Sheraton for the shuttle :as there is no restaurant on-site, their shuttle will take you to the Sheraton's restaurant, and will shuttle you back :our room was on the second floor, next to the elevator, and it was VERY LOUD. There were compressors that went on and off all night -- ask for a room not facing the compressors.
  17. What a great deal! I have gone all the way to $100 a night, for our dates in early May ... with no takers (in your same zone). Congratulations!
  18. 3* Cleveland Downtown Residence Inn for 5/12 -5/15/2011 at $50.00 I started at 45/47/50. I used your PRICELINE link.
  19. March 13, 2011. I should have mentioned that I had tried to get the Sheraton -- 3 1/2 *, as we had last year for $50 a night. I went up to $65 -- with no luck.
  20. First bid of $38 accepted. I used your link on the top right hand corner. It has great reviews on TripAdvisor.com. Thank you.
  21. I bid on PRICELINE, over a period of 4 days, for a 4* Waterfront/ Copley/ Boston Harbor/ Quincy hotel, with bids from $85 - $101, and all were rejected. I did get the 3.5* HOTWIRE Copley hotel for $96, which turned out to be the Sheraton.
  22. I had bid on Priceline for a 3.5* Back Bay-Copley area over 2 days .... from $80 - $95 and all were rejected. I did go with the Hotwire 3.5* Copley for $96, and it turned out to be the Sheraton.
