  2. Booked with Hotwire in the end - it was indeed Pan Pacific. 2 nights at $99 each total inc tax $229.95 Hotel amenities are Restaurant, Fitness Centre, Business Centre. Thanks Mo
  3. All makes sense :-) Can you suggest something for me to try on Priceline - up to $60 for the UQE - Emb area - I'll give it a try and if not - risk it all on the Hotwire? Thanks Mo
  4. From what i have seen around, Hotwire seems to give Pan Pacific at those sort of rates - i havent seen anyone get CLIFt at that rate. Also, Pan Pacific seem to have cheap deals everywhere -
  5. Hi. I checked thorugh the reviews of the 4* hotels on the priceline forum. Some of them seem OK but others seem to have quite a few complainants which is a little worrying. The Pan Pacific Hotel seems to be extremely nice and if that is the one available on Hotwire at $95 i would certainly take it. Is there any way of knowing that? Details I have on Hotwire are; 4.5* in Union Square West (Downtown) Selected amenities include: Restaurant(s), Fitness Center, Business Dates are Feb 22 - Feb 24 Price is $95 If i can be relatively sure that this is Pan Pacific I would go for that. What is the lowest i can expect to pay for those dates if i took a 4* on Priceline? Thanks Mo
  6. Hi There. Sorry about posting in the wrong section. I am going to be in SF for the nights of the 22nd and 23rd of Feb. I think the Zone to be in is the Union Square West or East and the Embarcadero area. I am looking to be in a fancy place - the problem is that not everywhere that is a high class is always that comfortable. I was hoping to spend anywhere from $60 - 100 per night. Thanks for the help Mo
  7. Hi. First of all, thanks for this amazing website. I havent used either of these two and i am staggering in a daze through all these new concepts (bidding, Bonus Money etc etc.) I am going to San Fransisco the end of Feb for 3 nights with the wife - an anniversary thing. I would really like something fancy although of course i cannot afford it :-) I am assuming that the top class - 5 star hotels are not something available on Hotwire or Priceline right? What is the best way to approach getting a hotel as nice as possible (without booking direct of course). Priceline seems to only allow a cohoice of 4* or lower - not 4.5 or 5. Hotwire give a 4.5* but that will turn out to be Pan or Clift. The reviews i have seen about Clift make it sound extremely small / squashy which isnt ideal. Any suggestions on the best strategy here? Also, how to make best use of any Bonuses currently available? Many thanks Mo
