1. Started bidding at $65. Picked 4* and only 3 zones then added the other ones one by one increasing by $5. Really excited about the hotel!! Website price is $297. It has a pool!! I was really hoping for one! We have 2 kids :) Used your PRICELINE link
2. Express Deal better than my all rejected bids (I went up to $240 then realized Deal was cheaper). Added the SUMMER14 coupon, came down to $219,45 a night
3. I did my bid. Went up to $280 without winning. Then saw Priceline had a PRICELINE EXPRESS Deal for $231 4* Downtown and I got that. Thanks again for helping
4. thanks again for all your help. I will do my dibbing this coming week when everything is set and I am sure I do not need to cancel a reservation. I would rather stay in one hotel (travelling with 2 kids). I will post final result once I have it. Thanks again
5. Sorry totally forgot about this post. If I remember right I kept my back-up reservation
6. Thanks for your help. I guess I was way off :) I will try with a higher bid, $250-280
7. Hello, I am looking for a hotel in Boston, July 8-10. I would love 4* and I am hoping to get a good price. I have been looking on older posts and I see that maybe under $150 is possible.... Beacon Hill- Downtown- Back Bay- Boston Common- Convention center. I hope I am not asking too much. What do you think? Thanks
8. Started bidding at $52, I increased $2 every bid and ended up with Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill. at $62 (plus taxes). Parking is extremely expensive in this hotel (I have read) so we are planning to use a garage. Used the PRICELINE link
9. yes, changed plans. We are not going to NY
10. no luck for me on this one. Did bid for 3 days and went up to $156
11. We don't mind having our son (4 yrs old) wt us in bed. In case of a double, we will use a sleeping bag. I will be checking HOTWIRE too, I am not doing any bidding or buying until a few day before we leave. Our budget.... no more than $130
12. I am looking for a hotel near a metro station. Thanks
13. Hello, so we are trying our trip to NY again. I looked up my last year post and saw the locations that are "kids' friendly". Do you guys think it is the same this year? MTE, MTW, TS, CPS, ESB Which zones should I bid to have hotels close to the metro?? Thanks in advance!!
14. I have been bidding for the past 2 weeks with no luck, bids went over $114 then. I started to bid again tonight. Started at $86, was offered to bid $111 but decided not to. I used 4 re-bid zones and got the Hyatt for $96. I am sure if I had waited a few more days I could have goten a better deal BUT I am happy with this too :) Thanks, used the PRICELINE link!!!t
15. I have actually made my reservation through travelzoo. I will post my final decision. Thanks again for all the help
16. hello, just wanted to give a follow up to my post. I might skip priceline this time. I have found the Sheraton National Hotel for $79 a night, with "Spectacular View Of Dc & Monuments, Oversized room, In main Tower, 25.5 X 14.3 Webtv, Playstation, Lounge Chair, desk, Luxury Pillowtop Bed, High-speed Internet, Armchair And Ottoman" plus FREE parking...I don't think I can get any "better + cheaper" than this....
17. yes, we will have a car. We have been to DC so many times, it's down the road for us and we have been there for the New Years Eve before. We have something going on in Alexandria so that would be our fav but since we have a car we will not mind the driving around, city is almost dead those days :) I think there is one hotel in the Natinal Harbor that is a 4 or 5* so I doubt I would win that...I can always add that as last re-bid. White House...I am not sure I liked The Mayflower that much last July so that's why I left it out. Thanks again
18. yes, those are the zone I will be bidding on, they are all acceptable. Thanks
19. change of plan, if you don't mind helping me with the new bid... I am looking for 4* in any DC area that offer 4 stars. 12/31-01/02 No more than $90 (I hope!!!) - Alexandria East - Old Town - Arlington - Convention Ctr - Capitol Hill area - Crystal City - Dupont Circle - Woodley Park - National Harbor I am leaving out just a few. Thanks again
20. Hello, would love help for 4* Alexandria East 12/31/10-01/01/11... max $100 and willing to go down to 3.5* with a max of $75...asking too much for this night? Thanks!!!
21. ok, I just won at first bid...wish I had started lower but I was afraid, like you said, that the price I was looking at was not "real" and you mentioned even $55 was not possible... anyway, bid $50, got the Sheraton Chapel Hill Hotel for a total of $122 On-line rooms start at $180 so I am REALLY happy!!! :) THANKS
22. ok, I think I have decided for 3.5*, is $45 max a possibility? Chapel hill and Durham. THANKS!!
