Parking at the pier cost $10 a day - for a total of $60.00. Getting a decent price on a hotel AND being able to leave the car there would be a huge savings. Am I better off going hotwire or Priceline? I will pay a little bit more knowing I am getting one of the hotels that allows cars to remain there. Thanks a million for your help.

This is for the Sheraton Elk Groves. I have stayed at this hotel every March for the past 4 year and will be going there again this year. This hotel is very nice. All rooms are suites and they just remodeled. Rooms have a living space (couch, chairs and table, TV with limited cable). Bedroom with either 1 king bed or 2 queen bed with all cherrywood furniture including sleigh beds. The mattresses are the best I have ever slept on and there are about 6 of the best pillows on every bed. Be sure and call and specify what you want as most rooms have the king bed. I believe they charged an extra $10 to have 2 queens beds. There is a mini fridege and coffee in every room. USA Today is delivered free every morning. Parking is free. Hotel is elegant and NOT kid friendly - mostly business people. Never ate in the restaurant or used any of the facilities. Not one complaint for the past 4 years.

We are going on a cruise out of Tampa. Needing a hotel close to the pier. Would really like one that would allow us to keep the car their for the week. We would like to stay at the same hotel pre and post cruise. We heard both the Holiday Inn Express and LaQuinta allows you to keep your vehicle at the hotel. Our dates are Februsary 13 and 19. Suggestions?

Did you have any luck finding a hotel in Tampa? We are cruising in February and would like to find a room close to the pier. Particularly one which will allow us to leave the van there instead of parking it at the pier. I heard Holiday Inn Express and La Quinta allows you to do this. Also, I want to stay in the same hotel pre and post cruise. Am I better off going to Priceline or Hotwire to accomplish this?
