  1. Yes, thanks for informing me how to find the amenities after the fact. For this hotel: Suite Fitness Center High speed Internet Access Smoke free rooms Pool(s) Complimentary breakfast Business Center
  2. Interesting! I had the same experience with the rating change after the same initial 95% satisfaction rate. How can you go wrong, though, with such a high approval rating! Looks like you have free parking as well (if you need it) :)
  3. Springhill Suites Orlando Convention Center has onsite complimentary parking per their website. I believe it is in the International Drive South grouping.
  4. In addition, similar to what david 12345 said, after I got my reservation confirmation, I rechecked and the same hotel (had the exact description, anyway) was offered again at $49 and indicated not the prior 95% satisfaction rate, but that reviews were still being gathered. This exact situation happened several months ago when I booked a highly rated hotel in Detroit. On recheck, it said reviews were still being gathered. It may make the hotel "opaque", but I wouldn't book a hotel without confirmed excellent ratings, so I can't understand why hotwire does that if they want to sell rooms.
  5. I got this hotel on HOTWIRE. It has a 95% satisfaction rate and the same amenities as what poster david 12345 listed in his initial post. Maybe that was the original hotel he was considering albeit at a lower price of $39.
  6. I didn't post my win here because I did not bid, but rather used the Priceline site that offered this hotel at a set low rate. It was a very good rate ($109) for Sept. 5-9, and much less expensive than the hotel's website prices. I didn't bid because I needed a hotel within blocks of Union Station (we took Amtrak) and was unwilling to risk getting a hotel farther out. Again, very happy with the price we paid and the location!
  7. We stayed at this hotel last week and had a wonderful time. We were very pleased with our room! The location is excellent to see the Smithsonians and other attractions. Our favorites were the Air and Space Museum and the American History Museum. The Natural History Museum and the National Postal Museum are also great as well at the National Gallery of Art. We also did a Capitol tour, which you need to schedule on-line before you go. We walked over to Ford's theatre and the home across the street where Lincoln died. That is very interesting as well. You can't do it all in 2 days, of course, but with pacing yourself, you will be able to do a lot. You can walk to all these places, so that will save on transportation. The parking is about $45 a night at this hotel, so check out cheaper options for parking nearby. Not sure if Union Station area has a parking area, but I'd be checking it out! Also, eat at Union Station--many fast-food type restaurants and share entrees--they're huge!! Have fun--we sure did!
  8. We stayed at this hotel last week for several nights thru Priceline and were VERY pleased with our stay. Comfortable bed and pillows, clean, updated room (bathroom tub area somewhat worn, however), great location (very quiet--never heard the fire station activity from across the street or people next door), all room amenities present and in working order, and friendly staff. Close to Union Station with its many restaurants; a block from Starbucks, and within walking distance of scores of museums and attractions. Internet access is an add'l $10/day and parking is very expensive, but since we didn't have a car, no problem. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to DC.
  9. We're currently staying at the River Hotel--it's wonderful! Better than expected. Great location, very happy with room with view of the Chicago River, pleased with amenities; staff is polite and responsive. Couldn't ask for a better experience! Thanks, priceline!
  10. I did a little research online about the River Hotel and Club Quarters on Wacker and how they are related. I read that the River Hotel opened in May 2009 with about 100 rooms on the 3rd-10th floors of the Mather Tower. Club Quarters rooms are on the upper floors high in the octagonal part of the Mather Tower.
  11. Thanks for the restaurant suggestion--we'll check it out!
  12. I think we are going to be happy with this 3.5* property. Parking is reasonable at $22/per 24 hours and free wireless internet according to their website--so less out of pocket costs than we may have had if we had won a 4* property.
  13. I have read of several Club Quarters wins, which is connected to this hotel on Wacker Drive, but I won a River Hotel room, which I haven't read of yet.
