  1. I live in Maine but not in that area. Summer is full of tourists, but the Bangor area shouldn't be as bad as the coast (Bar Harbor, Downeast, Old Orchard Beach, etc.). My maximum is ~$110 a night. I have plenty of time, so I am starting very low just to see how low it can go. :) The regular rates are $140-$160 for a 3*. I can book the Hilton Garden Inn for $134 for a King if paid in advance. That isn't too bad. 2/23: $70, rejected.
  2. I used the PRICELINE links from here to make my bids. I have a wedding to go to during this weekend, so I'm trying to get a 3* hotel without the 3* pricing. I'll update this thread with my bidding attempts. 2/22: $60, rejected.
  3. I spent about two weeks trying to get a 3.5* hotel on Priceline, starting at ~$44 and working my way up. When I hit $62 and still wasn't able to get a 3.5*, I decided to go down to 3*. It doesn't look too great on TripAdvisor, but at least we are only staying one night. We're going to an Orioles game and then flying out the next morning. Total was $57.37 after fees/taxes.
  4. 3* Hotel, I-Drive North Recommended by 90% of customer reviews. 300+ Reviews. 4/5 TripAdvisor Amenitites: Smoke Free Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant Business Center Hi-Speed Internet $39/night. Subtotal: $195 Taxes & Fees: $32.72 Total: $227.73 for five nights. This is for my honeymoon, so I'm very, very happy!
