I'm showing: 4* Water N Michigan-Tower-Gold Coast nonsmoking, fitness, restaurant, internet, business $168 75% hotwire [not getting much to show up that is designated non-smoking ANY chance that's because all of Chicago's hotels are non-smoking]

And should I be concerned with it not indicating it is non-smoking if I don't want a smoking room. (maybe that's a stupid question) That's what I was afraid of w the 4 star, stayed at the Felix once...hated it. Not just amazingly tiny rooms, but terrible service, couldn't even get coffee in the morning. Oh, and what are the chances of getting a better price close to the date?

Trying to book a room for 9/14-17 in Chicago. Not coming up with any fabulous deals. 3* showing just internet and business center 85% hotwire review $148 4* Boutique, no smoking, fitness, restaurant, business, internet $157 I can get into Hotel Indigo for $169 but trying to be close to shopping, etc so my wife has something to do while I'm at the conference. If it doesn't say non-smoking what's the chance of us being in a smoking room...we'd hate that as my wife is very sensitive to it. Thanks!

midsize, avis Wish I'd found the PRICELINE terms, probably could've saved a few dollars, but still not a bad price.

I decided not to take the chance. Put in a bid for $18 on PRICELINE and it was accepted.

Any idea if I could get stuck with early return charges?

Since I will be returning the car 5 hours early am I going to get hit with early return costs? Sounds like I could get recalculated to a different daily rate and $15 fee.

It does look like that will save some $$$. I was picking up at 6:30 and leaving at 4:30, but changing it to 9:30 seems to get the weekly rate. I'll give that a shot and let you know (though I'll also give my travel agent a chance first).

Sorry this was for June 28th. And the room was awful! Rundown, entire place smelled like smoke.

7/6 - 7-10 The cheapest I'm finding is Enterprise at $194 for a midsize, $180 for a compact. (total after taxes, etc), which is about $33ish a day Flying into ATL, thought I'd give PRICELINE a whirl and hoping I can get a good idea of what I should bid Thanks.

Bloomington 2 1/2 no smoking breakfast fitness high speed $41 hotel was: LaQuinta Bloomington/Normal Oh, and that is only $8 than if you book directly on LaQuinta's site. :)

Bid $85 for a 3 1/2 received the 4 * Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites

Thought this might be useful. Trying Mag Mile/River North... 4 *** $125 bid = 0 3 1/2 *** $100 bid = 0 Ended up on PRICELINE, along with a 10relax10 coupon and after tax got a 4**** (felix) for $160 (including taxes), so about $100 more total for the four nights than what the $125 bid (plus they have big tax/fees) and I get to be at the hotel I wanted to be at.

I may be trying to soon, I'm not traveling until October. (oct 5-10) The conference is at The Arena at Gwinnett Center, in Duluth. When I put in that address I get: 3* no amentities listed, 85% $59 Not really getting much else. Any ideas of what hotel this is?

The conference hotel is the W...I actually just got word that I can stay with some friends in the area so while that is a great deal and tempting, going to have to skip.

I have a conference in Chicago the end of the month. I missed the deadline for the discounted rate at the W City Center, but hoping to still get in. The Conference is at the Civic Opera House so anything close will do. Booked the 4 1/2 * Mag Mile and received the Intercontental as you suggested. One note, I booked it through the above HOTWIRE link but it was clunky. Had to try a couple of times, had to change people going...hope it worked.

Or not. the 10WINTER code isn't working for the one night. Maybe I'll take a chance on the 4.5* afterall

Thanks. Going to go with the Westin I think. More our style, though the 4.5* would be nice the Intercontinental is a bit ritzy for our taste, we're more hip loft type of people. Thanks for all the help. I've told so many people about this site.
