I booked a 3 star hotel with 5 star traveler reviews in Bakersfield, California through Travelocity's Top Secret Hotel Promotion. Going through their list of 3 star hotels with overall 5 star reviews, I was able to narrow the hotels down to three possibilities. After I booked, I was given the Red Lion Hotel - it did have 3 stars, but the overall traveler reviews were 4.5 and were based on only 2 reviews, each from over a year ago. Granted, the other sites list this hotel as a 2.5 star. I think Travelocity is being deceiving in this practice. I called and told them the overall travelers reviews were not 5.0 as advertised. Of course they said they could not do anything about it. Oh well, they have lost a customer for good.
