  1. Confirming that resort fee was not included, and that I was charged $28.73 per day ($24.99 fee + $3.74 tax). However, this turned out to be an excellent stay. I was upgraded to a very spacious Monte Carlo room and the staff truly provided an excellent service. In addition, they reimburse Uber/cab fare under $10 for for rides at certain hours (8-10am and 5-7pm).
  2. Offer price:$80.00/night Adjusted room price (bid) with Hotel Fee Credit:$80.00/night Hotel fee:$0.00 Number of rooms:1 room Number of nights:3 nights Room subtotal:$240.00 Hotel Fee:$0.00 The hotel charges an additional $0.00. Property Fees are not optional and typically cover items such as energy charges or safe fees. Charges for prepaid property fees may include tax. Taxes & fees:$49.86 Total charged: $289.86 I bid through BetterBidding's Quick Quote. There's no mention of resort fee on checkout page. On the final invoice/won page, there was no mention on the resort fee as well. Weird thing is that when I copied and pasted my confirmation, these two lines (not on my confirmation page) showed up (written on white ink?!?!): Adjusted room price (bid) with Hotel Fee Credit:$80.00/night The hotel charges an additional $0.00. Property Fees are not optional and typically cover items such as energy charges or safe fees. Charges for prepaid property fees may include tax. I believe in my case, Priceline adjusted my bid to include resort fee, so $80 is all in. Also, I bid 3.5* and got upgraded to 4.5*. Moderator(s), I understand this has been discussed a few times. Thoughts?

  9. Sorry to interrupt this post, but I assume you're taking the train from New York to Boston. If that's the case, you won't be leaving from Grand Central Station. The station for Amtrak in New York is Penn Station.
  10. I've been watching rates and prices are really coming down the closer it is to my stay. Wed & Thu, bid 2.5* up to $95 Price.line (MTW, Chelsea, MSG, Times Square) rejected. PRICELINE EXPRESS deal and Hot.wire was around $110ish. Today (Friday), Priceline's express deal had a 4* for $79. I bid $73 and was accepted at Sheraton. Haven't seen price this low for 4* in NYC in years.
  11. Bid from $67 in $5 increments. Priceline countered with $95. Room Subtotal: $87.00 Taxes & Fees: $21.33 Total Charged to Card: $108.33 Hotel website's lowest price is $129.
  12. Lowest published rate is $129. Number of Nights: 1 Room Subtotal: $56.00 Taxes and Fees: $15.83 Total Charged to Card: $71.83
  13. Room Subtotal: $56.00 Taxes & Fees: $15.68 Total Charged to Card: $71.68 Beast available rate from Marriott.com is $179.
  14. Glad to see that my post helped other bidder win the same property. Btw, I transposed the price on the title, the winning bid should be $123. Thanks!
  15. Bid 3* in $5 increments in Chelsea with free rebid area Coney Island & MSG. Accepted at $123 at 3.5* hotel Doubletree Chelsea. Rooms: 1 Nights: 3 Room Subtotal: $369.00 Taxes & Fees: $85.14 Total Charged to Card: $454.14
  16. Tried $107 and increased my bids in $10 increments. Priceline countered $184, accepted at the Sheraton for $167. Subtotal: $167.00 Taxes & Fees: $42.46 Total Charges*: $209.46 Direct booking thru hotel's website would have been $296 (prepaid).
  17. Bid 3.5 stars in Financial District, SOMA and Union Square areas in $3-$5 increments up to $133 rejected. Priceline countered with $150. In town to attend Outside Lands Music Festival. I will go with last minute travel's mystery hotel - 4* for $135 which is Hilton.
  18. Fyi, Outside Lands Festival is happening on Aug 12-14 at Golden Gate Park. It's a 3-day festival with big name artists. I think that's the reason why tiimyX had difficulty with hotels.
  19. It's a busy weekend in Burlington; Hilton is sold out, Hotwire has 3* (with golf, most likely Holiday Inn) for $102. Bid $75 rejected, bid $85 accepted at Holiday Inn. Your Offer Price Per Room: $85.00 Subtotal: $170.00 Taxes & Fees: $27.86 Total Charges*: $197.86 Lowest published rate is $153/night.
  20. Bid 4* up to $55 rejected. Bid 3* $45 then $47, accepted. Room Cost: $47.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Room Subtotal: $47.00 Taxes and Fees: $13.67 Total Room Cost: $60.67 Lowest published rate for this hotel is $159.
  21. Usually got Fairfield Inn, but found out that Fairfield isn't the only 2* in Portsmouth anymore since Americas Best Inn was downgraded from 2.5*. Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $37.00 Subtotal: $74.00 (got two rooms) Taxes & Fees: $14.96 Total Charges*: $88.96
  22. Interesting since almost no savings this time from Priceline. I should have checked the website price first for any promos. Overall, still very happy with the winning bid. Bid $60 rejected, increased by $5 accepted. Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: US$65.00 Subtotal: US$195.00 Taxes & Fees: US$25.23 Total Charges: US$220.23 If booked through the hotel's website directly, it's 170.25 euros total (prepay, 25% off with 3 nights stay) or around $241.46 according to Yahoo! Currency Converter.
  23. Hi Frie, If I might add, I think your price range for a 4* hotel in NYC is good enough. You still have plenty of time since the trip is in April, so there's no reason to worry now. Bid up to $160 and if it fails, do it again in a day or two. Just like thereuare said, wait it out and hope for lower prices in the coming weeks. Yes, price could be higher but it could be lower too. Please be patient, hotels readjust their priceline price all the time. Try and try again. Good luck!
