  1. Hi all- Trying to book a room for Muskegon for Sat, June 16th. I tried bidding last night for $55.00 - no luck. Am willing to stay outside of Muskegon. I also bid in the surrounding areas: Holland $60.00; Ludington $50.00; South Haven $55; Grand Haven $61.00. No luck with any of these! Am flexible with price but of course, want a good deal.
  2. Unsure what you want me to to do. I did not use HOTWIRE - I used PRICELINE through the link.
  3. Taking Southshore-glad to hear it is close. Am getting excited! Thanks all.
  4. I did get Swissotel for a $119.00 bid I am happy with this being a Friday (6/15) night! I will either walk r take a cab to the southshore stop. Thanks all.
  5. Hi-yes-this is still for my bidding for 6/15. Have not had ANY luck bidding up to $134 for 4 star in the millenium zone. I will keep trying! I wondered if it would be worthwhile to try for th enorth of river zone. Thanks.
  6. Am hoping you can advise if these areas are within walking distance of each other should I split my nights? Also-it looks like by the map the greater Chicago area hotels are nearby also? I just do not know the difference in areas. What is considered the downtown area? Thanks.
  7. I am headed to Chicago next week. Was consideirng the art museum or the science and technology museum. What's your reocmmendation? Thank you.
  8. Hi - I tried bidding 4 star - highest so far is $125, no luck. I also tried 3.5 stars at 85.00 (I believe) - no luck. Will try again this evening when my 24-hour deadline passes. Is the 24 hour wait an exact 24 hours (by the minute)? I may possibly get a 4 star at 130ish after reading a new post? Your thoughts? I prefer to stay in this area. tranaportation-no car. WIll catch the train Sat. Many thanks.
  9. Hi - I tried twice to add another night through the link provided - no luck. I also tried twice to add another night through bidding, using the re-bid zones, and still no luck. I believe my highest bid so far was $105.00. Does it look like I need to go higher? Do you think this is due to being a Friday, or is there something going hindering my attempts? I will keep trying. Am okay if I have to change hotels but would LOVE to get a seocnd night at Palmer. Thanks.
  10. Hi - I just wanted to post my win for the Palmer House - started at $55.00 and ended at $85.00. Am happy with this. I have a question. I saw after my win there was a link to extend my stay by adding another night. Do you know if this is sitll good? Is there a way to add another night at the same rate or would I need to rebid? Thank you.
  11. Actually - it was originally a 4 night stay - with checkout on the 13th. Only booked a 3 night. Thanks.
  12. Whew! Well-an interesting go of it for sure. I did get the HI Oceanside Marina for $121 for 3 nights. A bit more than I wanted to spend, however, given the information you have shared it seems I was not going to get much less for this area, this time of year. I am most appreciative of your help! Either way, I consider it an adventure for my daughter and me to take this trip! I did use your link to PRICELINE! Now to go find a hotel close to the airport for the night of the 12th! Wish me luck! What zone is the airport in? Thanks. I am having some buyer's remorse - the trip advisor has favorable reviews for the hotel I secured. Anyway - I will keep an open mind.
  13. Am wondering if I should stay elsewhere and get a shuttle to legoland? I am flying into San Diego and am trying to avoid renting a car. My goal is legoland so that is why I wanted to be close. Of course we wanted to visit the beach areas! Does PL have good rates for car rentals in this area? Thanks again and again!
  14. Tried 100.00 - no luck! Argh! This is the most challenging priceline experience yet! Is it worth to keep trying for a 3 star or booking direct? How high do I go for a 3 star? I thought I saw some of them booking at just over $100.00? Thanks.
  15. So all sold out - bummer! I will try a 3 star for sure! When does school start there if I may ask? Also - so the hotels do not 'keep' PL rooms for use - so if sold out, they are 'really' sold out?
  16. Hi - thanks for this info - I did not realize the slate would wipe clean with a lower star! I did try a 3.5 star again and went to $97.00 and still to no avail. Is there a function this week, by chance? Thanks again!
  17. Hi - tried to lower my $100.00 limit and ended bidding for a 3 1/2 star in Carlsbad at $85.00. Added all 9 zones, to no avail. I don't want to pay $85.00 for a 3 star - so it seems I am done for 24 hours? Any other attempts I can make without waiting 24 hours? Thank you.
  18. Thank you. Is Hilton Garden Inn Carlsbad Beach one of the priceline venues? Thank you again.
  19. Hi - I [prefer the North County Coastal area. I do nto need double occupancy. Thanks.
  20. We ended up not using priceline and booked where the wedding we attended took place. Thank you for your help nonetheless. Thanks.
  21. We are travelling to San Diego/Carlsbad area next week (8/9/11 - 5 nights) to Legoland et al. Wondering what I would start my bid at for the 3 1/2 venues? Are there any 4 stars in the area? Thanks.
