  1. I won! 4* MTE Grand Hyatt $140 - Used the sites PRICELINE link!
  2. i didnt include CPS as i thought it might be to far north of the main tourist areas? It's my first visit to NY so i'm not to sure of the distances :) All i know is that it was far from china town/little italy and chelsea market and those are 2 places that are can't miss for me. for rebidding, i have been adding Long island, Chelsea area, and Madison square garden. My 24 hours should be up soon, so going to try again tonight, hopefully i win something :)
  3. I had been bidding on ESB only, but now i am bidding on ESB, MTE and MTW. Will add TS tonight and see what happens. Started at $110 and went up to $150 but no luck.
  4. no luck for me yet. For the rebidding thing. I add places like Chelsea, long island and madison square garden that dont have 4* hotels correct?
  5. Hi Aaron, I'd like a 4* if possible in my range, i could even go up a bit if it meant getting a nice place. My main thing is that its just a really clean hotel. My wife is pregnant and she has a thing with everything needing to be really clean heh. Im just not sure what area to even try in as ive never been to NY (from reading some threads maybe MTE/MTW?). We are just going to do the typical tourist things.
  6. ok updated my post with what i won. Completely forgot heh.
  7. Ended up getting a 3.5 star in downtown TPA airport area. Won my bid at $55 - stayed at Sheraton Suites Tampa Airport Westshore.
  8. Hey guys, Going to NYC 4/15-4/17 and would like some help. It will be my first trip to NY and im looking to spend no more then $150 + taxes for a room. I am not sure which area to stay in as i've never been to NY. I just want a clean room that is close to the tourist stuff (Times square, broadway, chinatown, etc). My wife is pregnant so will be taking cabs everywhere hopefully. Any help would be great. TY.
  9. Hi Yellowdog, Thank you for the welcome. I'm glad i was told about this site by my friend. Alot of great info here. This will be my first time using PRICELINE and i plan on using the link off the site :) . I was looking for a 4star, but $150 for the intercontinental doesn't seem like a deal to me since you can get it for $170 on the hotel site, i would love the renaissance at that price but there is no way to know which hotel i will get :) . I think i will try for a 3.5 star hotel now in the westshore area. I don't really have a budget, im more of a bargain buyer and want to know i'm getting a good deal :o
  10. Hello all, after looking through the site ive noticed people have been able to get 4 star hotels in tampa, mostly the intercontinental tampa for under $70 a night. I have been going on priceline for the past week, upping my bid from $50 all the way up to $124 and i have been rejected every time. Am i doing something wrong? Should i wait until closer to my travel date? i need a room for march 16-18? Can anyone help?
