$30 for one of the best night's sleep I've EVER had! Bidding on the day before checkin (in June), we didn't have high hopes that our humble $30 would be accepted. Thankfully, it was. On check-in, we were offered a free upgrade to a King room. This King room had a lovely view of the foothills (if you could blur your eyes at the shopping mall in the foreground), and seemingly new furniture and bathroom fixtures. As I mentioned, the bed was the highlight, with a luxuriously soft pillow top mattress, several plump king-sized pillows, a thick down duvet, and crisp sheets. The hotel must have been recently refurbished, as the room bore no resemblance to the 70's style hotel exterior. Highly recommended.
