Thought I would share my recent successful bid with Priceline for our trip to Puerto Rico! We loved the El Conquistador resort and were really pleased all around. I had called a couple days in advance to secure a crib and spoke with the front desk regarding an infant life vest for the catamaran ride to the private island. They were extremely nice and very helpful. I asked about an upgrade (even at a cost) and she said that they would see what they could do at check-in. When we arrived, I was shocked to find out that they had upgraded us (at no charge) to an ocean-view room! The rooms were clean, though the cribs looked like little metal cages and we ended up not using it. The pools and the grounds of the resort were very well kept and the private island was amazing! The only thing that I didn't like, and can probably be expected of any resort, was the food and parking. Food was overpriced and blah. We had a rental car so we went off property for almost all meals and went to the grocery store for major staples. We often do this when we travel anyway, so we were planning on it. From a tripadvisor review, we knew to ask about Enterprise parking. If you rent a car through Enterprise, you can park in their lot for free on the resort. Overall, extremely happy with our stay and would go back in a heartbeat!
