Did not book this trip. Didn't want to risk a bad hotel. Decided to stay in Birmingham instead and used the PRICELINE link above to book Birmingham trip. Booked for 2 nights. Total $120 fees $28.64 Grand Total $148.64. King Suite. If I would have booked through Marriott website, total would have been $375. Free parking and breakfast downtown. Started my search through the PRICELINE link above.

Used the HOTWIRE link on Betterbidding.com and got the 3* Wingate by Wyndham - Montgomery for 9/14/12-9/15/12. Amenities were Free Parking, Free Breakfast, Fitness Center, Pool, Business Center High Speed Internet, Laundry Facilities. Price was $55 plus fees of $14.62. total $69.62

Please note that this is NOT a nice Country Inn & Suites... I would give it a 2* and not book it again.

I used the PRICELINE link to start my bidding...Started at $50 a week ago and finally won today at $59. Price including Taxes and Fees for 2 days is $146.76. Tried to get a 3* in Homewood, but it was going to be more expensive than a 3.5 star in Central, so bid on the Central instead. After researching this forum, I had thought that it would be the Sheraton and it was.

AND, yes I chose "Montgomery" and not "Montgomery East", but this is the hotel I got. Called Priceline and they said that the map for "Montgomery" area does include this hotel, even though the description is "Montgomery East". Price was $43 plus $14.27...Total $57.27 I used the PRICELINE links above to start this bid.

3* Doubletree Hotel Tallahassee South....$45.00 plus $13.19 taxes... Total $58.19.. Got it on first bid.

Wonderful Hotel!! Room had 2 double beds and a living area with large couch, wet bar, huge flat screen tv, granite tops. Very NICE!!

UPDATE: As of 11/1/2011, all rooms are now non-smoking.
