  1. $69.45 Total w/ taxes and fees. No charge for overnight parking. This is exactly the hotel I thought I was getting thanks to this site. The amenities still match up perfectly. I used your HOTWIRE link. I'm also getting a $20 refund using the Entertainment Book coupon :) Thanks BetterBidding.com!
  2. Just a quick note that parking at this hotel is a whopping $30 :) Good news is that street parking will be free since we will be there on a holiday. Hopefully, we'll find a spot.
  3. Just got the Courtyard by Marriott Downtown San Diego for one night this Thanksgiving, Nov. 25, 2010. Started bidding with $50 for 4*, then $45 for 3.5*, and then finally won a 3* at $45. Works for me. Just need a quick overnight before our flight to Maui :) Of course I used the PRICELINE link above.
  4. Hi Supertrooper! Have you booked a room yet? If not, you might try your PRICELINE bid again now that it's closer to your travel dates. I just won on priceline the Marriott for $105/nt for six nights checking out Dec. 2, so I'm betting you will have better luck now than you did previously. Happy travels!
  5. Bidding for six nights 11/26 - 12/2/10. Started at $92. Offered a "free" re-bid at $112. Declined it and added another zone and tried for $102. No go, so closed out and selected Wailea and another re-bid zone for $105 - Scored the Marriott. This is exactly the hotel I was trying for, so it worked out beautifully. Thank you to everyone that helps out on this forum. I used the PRICELINE link above. Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $105.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 6 Room Subtotal: $630.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $102.90 (USD) Total Room Cost: $732.90 (USD) They also charge a $25/nt resort fee or you can decline it and pay $20/day parking. Internet is also an additional $15/day, but I knew all this going in, so I'm very happy :)
  6. Hi! Just wondering how far before your stay that you booked this? We're going to Aruba at the end of January 2011 and am not really sure when to start bidding.
  7. We also incurred an extra charge on our credit card. We prepaid for our room on Hotwire, then had room charges for dinner and internet, which we settled when we checked out. In addition to that charge, was another charge for around $75. I e-mailed the hotel and got no reply. Called and got sent to someone's voice mail. Left a message and no reply. I'm now disputing the charge through AmEx. Should be interesting to see what happens. This stay was in late May 2010. Other than this issue, the hotel was fine, but not worth the hassle in my opinion.
  8. Bidding was as follows: 4* - $85 3.5* - $80 3* - $75 2.5* - $70 won 1 nt at the Whistler Village Inn and Suites 5/31/10. Hopefully, this place will be okay. Given we're only there one night, I'm sure it'll be fine :)
  9. Thanks for the reply! I went ahead and tried Priceline again. I've been trying for several weeks for a 4* and never bid over $105. Tonight I went as high as $110 on just the Downtown area and then started over and went up to $110 including the Granville Entertainment District. At $110 my bid was accepted and I got the Sheraton Wall Centre. I was also using $10/nt Priceline bonus cash through the Entertainment Coupon book, so I'm really only paying $100/nt. Not a bad deal considering HOTWIRE appears to have the same hotel at $129/nt. I did open PRICELINE using the link on this forum first before using the link in my Bonus Cash e-mail, including each time I started over with a new browser, so hopefully that worked.
  10. I'm seeing a 3.5* hotel available for $112/nt in Downtown Vancouver West 6/1 - 6/3. The amenities appear to match the Westin Bayshore, minus the Spa. If so, they've downgraded it from a 4* to a 3.5* again. Do you think this is correct or is it possibly another hotel? Here are all the amenities: Smoke free Fitness Center Pool Restaurant Business Center Laundry High Speed Internet Tennis Nearby Also, is it possible to use your HOTWIRE link if I'm using an Entertainment Book coupon? Edit: I just noticed it says they are "still collecting reviews" for this hotel. Does that mean it's a new hotel? If so, I'm wondering if it might be the Coast Coal Harbour Hotel?
