I always bid in $5 increments...easy to remember.... So, for the Venetian, my last bid was $115. Then won with $120. I did notice that prices on their own website went up the next day. weird. My JW Marriott, I bid for it on Jan. 2 for Jan. 27-30. Started with 4* Strip, and added Zones that didn't have 4*'s in $5 increments. When I added NW Vegas, won it at $100. JW website listed the price at $249. :) Good Deal, huh?

I have been trying to get the Venetian for a few weeks and have my backup at Paris for $119 from their Website. (which I will cancel now) Today, on Venetian's web page, price: $169. I bid $100 first, then kept rebidding until I won at $120. I am very happy. I did have one more bidding opportunity before I leave, but went ahead and booked it. Who knows, they could run out of rooms, right? :) I did get a counter offer three days ago for $150 for a 5* and turned it down. Today, when I bid $100, Priceline countered at $130. I then got it for $120. Book your back up, then keep good records of when you bid. Venetian must release their rooms a week out or so. Happy Bidding!!

voila, I booked the JW Marriott on Priceline for a three night stay. I got it for $100 per night for Thurs/Fri/Sat. At first I was kind of worried, since it is not on the strip, but now, after reading reviews on www.tripadvisor.com, I am hoping it will be great. I have a calendar laid out in one full month. I carefully mark my 72 hour bid dates. I bid for the strip first, at 4* $60, and added zones that I knew did not have 4* hotels. Look those zones up on Priceline. I kept adding a zone, and some more bids and was surprised when I got the JW, and forgot they have a resort. I am happy! It looks great! Keep reading everything, and keep records. Have fun!
