Poipu, Kauai 4.5* $281 per night 85% recommended Great Free Internet Pet friendly Pool (s) Business Center Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Self Service Laundry Accessibility for visually impaired 4.5* Poipu $310 per night 95% recommended Amazing Free parking Free Internet Resort Oceanfront Hotel Beachfront Hotel Pool(s) Business Center Fitness Center Restaurant (s) We are staying 3 nights in Kapaa and looking to stay these 2 nights in Poipu at a more upscale hotel. We were looking online and are very interested in The Koa Kea $369 cheapest room, so thought if this was it we could save a little money. Not as interested in Hyatt as we are traveling without our kids and trying to avoid hotels with lots of families in summer. Thanks!
  6. OK thanks. I will let you know when we make a decision and book whether it is using PL or HW.
  7. Used the HOTWIRE link. Need help id'ing this property: 6/20/2013 2 nights 4* Poipu area hotel $153 Resort Free parking Free internet Beachfront property Smokefree rooms Fitness center Pools Restaurant High speed internet access Golf nearby Tennis nearby Spa services Children activity Rec 80% Was thinking maybe Sheraton. If so, was wondering if we could do better on PL. Reg rate for Sheraton is $229 that night. Thanks. We are looking for near beach in Poipu for as little $ as possible because we are going to splurge @ St Regis Princeville rest of the week.
  8. Thanks for all of your help. We decided to book on our own because United has a special right now and I got my airfare and hotel room at the Grand Wailea for about the same price I would have paid to book my airfare and hotel through HOTWIRE seperately. (Plus I wouldn't have to worry about getting a King room, I could request two Queens) Next time I'm looking for a shorter stay though, I'll definitely use your PRICELINE link, as I use priceline quite often for overnighters or short weekenders. Thanks!!
  9. Thanks. If my husband agrees to taking the risk of using HOTWIRE, I'll book within the next few days. And I will use the HOTWIRE link. I will let you know how it goes either way.
  10. Followed your instructions. Here are ALL of the amenities listed... Resort Beachfront Fitness Center Pool Restaurant Business Center High Speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Spa Services Children's Activity Program Also recommended in 95% customer reviews, Overall Satisfaction 4.5, 10+ total reviews, and 4 green dots in Tripadvisor Rating Also it states the taxes and recovery fees are $213. What is the hotwire fee? Is it per night or a flat fee or percentage of total? Thanks!!! Hope that helps....
  11. Hi. We are planning on going to Maui 8/16-8/23. We have already booked a package for the first 4 nights at a condo in Kapalua, but are looking at staying in Wailea from 8/20-8/23. The info on hotwire is as follows: 4 1/2 * Wailea-Makena 8/20-8/23 $419 Resort Beachfront Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Hi Speed Internet Access Golf Nearby My husband REALLY wants to stay at the Grand Wailea. I'm not too interested in Makena Golf or Marriott because I think I can probably find a decent package deal on those two that would be much less than $419 a night. Also, we will be traveling with a baby (bringing a pack and play) and a teenager. In the past I've never had any trouble using priceline or hotwire and getting two beds or a roll away for our son (except once at a 2* in Northern California) however I've only used hotwire in California. In your experience, do the hotels in Hawaii give the hotwire or pricelines users trouble with this? I plan on booking by the end of this week if all goes well.
