  1. Sorry, it's the 2 star Shilo Inn at the Rose Garden. I can't find any other amenities than free parking, free internet and internet service, which sounds like the same thing to me. I'll do an after-visit report. Based on my experience, it should be fine. In the past, this is the only hotel chain I've visited where they had really decent pillows on the bed. --Jeff
  2. Free parking & Internet. I've stayed at Shiloh Inns before and they're always clean and well serviced. The location is very close to downtown and lots of transit options. A great price for Portland these days.
  3. With Portland room taxes the total was actually $106.67. I've been in the hotel before when a friend was staying there and I am very pleased with the result. Really nice, clean and convenient hotel.
  4. Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), High-speed Internet Access
  5. Going to DC on business and I wanted an extra day so Hotwired one night. I was hoping for Club Quarters, which is where I'm going to be two nights, but $64/night caught my eye. Hotel is next to Thomas Circle, but I don't know enough about DC to make a judgment until I get there. I do love betterbidding.com and HOTWIRE (and, yes, I used the link).
  6. I'm not seeing any reviews of this hotel for five years, which seems odd. At any rate, my son and I booked Hotwire room here for $65/night, four nights in late July 2011. It's a perfect location, IMO, because it is only a few blocks from the French Quarter, but in the business district, so very quiet. We had a nice big room with all necessary amenities, and excellent customer service from everyone. If you stay there, pop into the hotel bar and say hi to Courtney for a touch of the warmth and friendliness that typifies New Orleans locals. I can't recommend this enough.
  7. I know, I know. Who wants to be in New Orleans in July? Apparently, no one, but my son wants to take in Tales of the Cocktail. Hotel is highly recommended by a friend who lived in New Orleans.
  8. I might have been able to get this for $60, but I'm quite happy with this price and with the hotel. I stayed with them in Washington, DC for business at about three times the price, and it was a nice, clean comfortable hotel. Not gigantic room but I don't plan on being there except to sleep and shower. The DC hotel had a poor breakfast buffet at a ridiculously expensive price, but there are plenty of other places to eat in Chicago. And, yes, indeed, I used the PRICELINE link from the forum. Thanks for the help.
