  1. Took a look at the map on priceline and i will be willing to extend bid area to the Orange/Garden Grove area. My first choice would be Disney/Anaheim Area but since we will have our car, I am willing to extend the bidding zone areas to the Orange/Garden Grove area in an effort to increase my chances of what I want. The lowest star level I would bid for would be a 3*. I am willing to pay slightly more but really goal is to control costs in Anaheim since we will traveling to 2 other CA cites as well as Las Vegas. The max I want to pay is 80 per night for a 3.5-4* and would be happy with a nice 3* like a Holiday Inn for example. My goal is the least expensive 3.5 or better for this stay. Thanks.
  2. ended up not doing priceline but booking directly a hotel webstie.
  3. Need advice on when would be the best time to bid for Anaheim/Disneyland area. Planning on staying 3 nights beginning June 12. Would like to bid for 3.5-4* with a max price of $75 per night. Would it be best to bid now 3 months out or wait closer to our arrival date? I am concerned if I wait too long then I may have to bid higher for the same star category. In the past I have bid about 3-5 days prior to arrival but with the summer season in full swing by June, I want to make sure I am not scrambling at the last minute. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. :)
  4. I agree with the above poster. I stayed there about a month ago and had no complaints. Near tons of rest and shopping. Galleria is very close by and easy access to the Tollway and 635. My only complaint was that the rest. was not open on Sunday night and we had to go out in very cold, rainy weather for dinner. We pd $33 and were given a room with a king bed and sleeper, fridge and microwave. I would stay here again. I have pd alot more for Holiday Inn's that should have been condemned much less open for business.
  5. Update: Checked in Friday afternoon and requested a room with 2 beds or a king with a sleeper. I was told that none were available for all four nights, so they upgraded me to a 1 bdrm suite at no extra charge! Great room 2 room suite with 2 Tv's, mini kitchen area, free wi fi and a room with a balcony overlooking the lobby. All in all, a great stay at a fantastic rate. I have no complaints about the room, hotel or staff. Would def. consider bidding in that area again. Never once was I treated any differently as a Priceline customer. :) Would even consider paying full price for the room if I need to in the future.
  6. I am attending an event in Grapevine and needed a hotel on the north side of DFW. I know the area pretty well and knew where to bid. Tried Airport North first--rejected at $35 Added Irving/Las Colinas--rejected again at $35 Received msg from Priceline that stated to add $14 to my bid to ensure my bid area. I refused. I might add I was bidding for a 3* property. I even added a 2.5* because I really need to be as close to Grapevineas possible. So I added Airport South and raised my bid to $40 since that was my absolute limit. Priceline returned with this result: Radisson DFW Airport South March 12-16 for $40 bid for 4 nights Total: $192 and change total. Overall, I am pleased with the result even though it is further out from Grapevine than I wanted to stay but since I know the area well, I am not concerned abut getting lost. Checked radisson.com and the rates were 89, 89, 109 and 129 so over all, an excellent deal :) I used the PRICELINE link on this website.
  7. I am planning a trip to the San Marcos/Austin area in March. The dates are Marach 13-16 for three nights. I was looking at the Austin area map on Priceline and I am very confused on what area to bid on. I would like easy access to Interstate 35 and close proximity to San Marcos and New Braunfels but I don't neccessarily have to stay in those two cites since the hotel quality is not what I normally prefer. So I would like to bid for the Austin area instead. What areas do I need to bid on to ensure that I am close to where I want to be? The cheapest rates that I have been able to find for San Marocs/NB is 80-100+ and I have been searching since Dec. My bid limit would be 65 for a 3-3.5* hotel. Can anyone help?? Thanks! :)
  8. I have been reading this sight for a while now trying to figure out how to get what I want when I use PRICELINE. I needed a room short notice on Sun Feb 7 and used priceline to get a a room. I bid for the Airport North and South Areas, the HEB area and Irving the first try. My intial bid was $34 and I was rejected. So I added Galleria Area and the Northpark/Knox area and my bid of $34 was accepted at the Holiday Inn North Addison on Arapho Road. I was very please with this hotel. We were given a king rm with a sleeper and all rms have a micro, fridge and free Wi Fi. I used the PRICELINE link on this website and was pleased with what I received. I will use the PRICELINE link on this sight from now on. Will be using this sight when I return to the DFW area in March. I read about your website in USAToday. Thanks for a great sight :)
