  1. We are looking at staying in a Suite type hotel in Plantation or Ft. Lauderdale. Our house is being tented (yuck) and we need a clean, nice hotel for 2/13 - 2/16 in our area as we live in Plantation. Highly reviewed hotels are important to us. Would like to keep it under 130/night. We considered the beach but myself, my wife and my son all have cars and the parking was a killer at those hotels. That 3-star 90% $115 is not showing when I view hotwire through the bidding helper. I actually pressed purchase earlier today but had delayed so long looking into it that it said it was too late. Have not seen it since.
  2. Wound up staying upstate in a B&B as the parking was outrageous in Manhattan.
  3. $115.00 a night for 2/13 - 2/16. 90% recommended. Amenities: Free parking, Free Internet, Suite, Airport shuttle, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower. Best Guess?
  4. 128.00 for a 4.5* was cheaper than all other hotels by a good amount. I was hoping for the other 4.5 stars but Inter-Continental is a great brand. Thanks for the help.
  5. I see our issue communicating! I have been searching 3 adults (me, wife and son). I usually don't have such issues identifying hotels, so many in Chicago seem similar. I would prefer two queens but it seems most rooms have two doubles. Prices don't seem too discounted either. The 4.5 seems the best deal. BTW I don't mind spending if the hotel is great. I intend on reserving this morning. 4.5* 128.00 Mag mile, RN FULL AMENITIES: Pet friendly, Indoor pool(s), Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower 4* 141.00 Downtown FULL AMENITIES: Pet friendly, Indoor pool(s), Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower 4.5* 183.00 Downtown FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Pet friendly, Indoor pool(s), Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Wheelchair accessible Let me know if any other hotels jump at you. I am always concerned using priceline when traveling with 3.
  6. The 4.5 star boutique hotel you say may be the swiss, is that correct? I just looked up the Swissotel and the description says it is a 661 room hotel.
  7. I have seen some extremely helpful posts in researching for hotels in Chicago and hope I can get some help. I do not know much about Chicago, I have been to Chicago a few times and have gone to Hugo frog's and one of the famous deep dish pizza places and have enjoyed them and am open to any other suggestions. I have stayed downtown and at nice hotels but there seems to be a lot of choice at hotwire. I am picking my son up from college and will be doing a general tour of the city in two days so a central location is important, but I will have a rental car. Thanks for help and suggestions. I see the following: 4.5* Mag Mile area $165.00 95% recommend . 12. I am looking at a a 4.5 star in Santa Fe Plaza area. Search was for 2 adults, 2 kids. Free Parking, Free Breakfast, Free Internet, Pet friendly, Boutique Hotel are descriptions. Thanks.
  13. Hotel Teatro 7/10 - 7/11. Price $127.00. Boutique Hotel, free Internet. A previous post tipped me off that the Hotel Teatro would be the hotel. After reviewing the hotel website and tripadvisor we are very happy with this hotel for the $$.
  14. I started with a $90 bid, upped it to $127 and received the Omni at Championsgate. It is for today 4/5 one night and the middle of spring break time. Not the best price, listed as 20% off. I was hoping for the Gaylord Palms and restricted to the Disney Main gate area. Reviews are pretty good for the resort, we shall see.
  15. Based on others winning bids, bid $45.00 3* and received Marriot-Residence Inn for relatives coming to visit 6/3 - 6/7
