  3. Using the HOTWIRE link from this site, ended up with the nice sounding Wyndham Gettysburg for $51/night. With fees comes out to $123, considerably cheaper then the hotels web site which was $196 including tax and fees for a nonrefundable room. A refundable room would have been $230 with tax and fees. Now I hope the weather will workout as well as this Hotwire deal did! Steve
  4. Using the HOTWIRE link from here I scored a room at the Westin near the airport for a Saturday night Jan 18 for $61 plus fees for a total of $77/night. Lots of nice reviews. Checking the hotel web site directly afterwards I found a special discounted rate that would have come out to $84/night with tax and fees. Tried Priceline before at $50 and was denied and was told $64 would secure a room, pushing me to use Hotwire. Steve
  5. Just a little update. At first I thought this hotel may not be all that nice but was pleasently surprised to find a very clean hotel that had been remodeled nicely. The building had some age as did the windows but everything else was real nice. I also was allowed to upgrade the room to two doubles for $10 at check in which worked out well.
  6. $53 with tax and fees. Had hoped for something better but for one quick night it will do. Booked through the PRICELINE link.
  7. Used the HOTWIRE link search showed up as Super Savings with no details but 95% recommended for $31 one night Friday March 25, 2011. With fees and tax $41.09
  8. HOTWIRE newbie, used the link from this site. Traveling with 2 adults and 2 children and an indoor pool was a must and ended up with the Holiday Inn Mart Plaza. Price on Hotwire $89/night with tax and fees came out to $107/night. I'll keep checking Hotwire, but I feel as though maybe I should've waited til things got closer to April, but with it being spring break for a lot of school age kids I just wanted to get things set up as we tried to make a trip to Chicago that didn't pan out. This one's going to happen and I guess I can't complain about staying in Chicago for 4 days and 3 nights for $321.
  9. I know this thread is a bit dated, but does anyone know why I don't see these figures on my home computer? I didn't know they existed on Hotwire until I looked at the site (of course I linked from this site) on the computer in our firehouse that has an outdated Internet Explorer program. I've tried it on IE, Mozilla, and Chrome at home and cant' see the recommendation percentages or TA info. I was all set to make a purchase for an upcoming family trip to Chicago but thought twice after seeing a 75% satisfaction percentage that seemed low to me while at work last night. Any ideas?
