It was struggle to win this property. I had tried for the Radisson or Rosen at the rates listed on previous threads, but was rejected all the way up to $60 for a 3, 3.5, and 4* using re-bid zones targeting International Drive. Just won the Hilton in Downtown Atlanta on 1st bid. Used the PRICELINE link. Stayed there last weekend and everything was A-OK. We were not able to check-in until about 4pm due to the hotel being full. They accommodated our bedding needs (King). Within walking distance of plenty of restaurants (Hard Rock, Hooters, Bennihana, Fire of Brazil, etc.) and MARTA (public rail). Just won the Hilton in Downtown Atlanta on 1st bid. I actually was bidding for 3.5 hoping to get the Westin Peachtree Plaza, but knew that the $51 would get the Hilton if I entered 4*. PRICELINE did that for me and automatically gave me the Hilton. Started with $40, rejected... given the option to raise by $10. I did not do that, instead re-bid $42 then $44 and accepted. This was the property I was hoping for. Listed at $119 on Hilton.com. As my wife and I am traveling with another couple, we wanted 2 doubles, so no one would have to sleep on a pull out couch. The hotel did not have any doubles available, but the very helpful lady booked us into a family suite for no additional charge. The family suites have a pull down full size murphy bed in the living room. The rack rate for a family suite is $139 / night. Used the PRICELINE link.

Booked this for 1/23/10 for 1 night. First bid of $62 was accepted by the Hilton. A little off of the river, but they have a cab line and it is only about $5 to get to Riverstreet / Bay St. They charge about $20 to valet, but it is easy to find street parking nearby for $0 on the weekends. Just booked on priceline for 1/26 - 1/27/10. Regular Rate is $76 plus Tax. I have stayed here before and the location is much better than most Brunswick, GA hotels! Started at $35. Will try lower next time for this area!
