  1. I'm happy with this hotel selection, as it is about $60 under the lowest rate on the hotel website. I was fine with this zone or Westwood, and started at $90, using free rebids for a 4* in those 2 zones. One note, the zones on the hotel guide for this site are outdated, as the former Westwood - Century City zone has been reconfigured to Brentwood-Westwood. The Century City area is now part of West Hollywood/Beverly Hills. Several hotels probably need to be moved on the list to accommodate the reconfigured Los Angeles zones. I used the PRICELINE link for the bids.
  2. This Marriott is a great hotel in a good location. Even though you may have saved $10-20 with a lower bid, you're price is a steal already :) Every time I go to Paris, I hope to get this hotel, but have not had luck lately. M
  3. Using free rebids, I started at $50 and increased bids by 3-4 dollars each round until finally getting this hotel at $75. For this hotel on a weekday, $75 seems to be the magic threshold to get it. I have stayed here 3 times before, all through Priceline. It's a good property, and within 10 minutes from the Medical Center area. I used the PRICELINE link for bidding.
  4. I started bidding at $45, then went up in $3-4 increments with free rebids until finally a $75 bid was accepted. I have stayed at this hotel 2 times before, it is good and within 5 minutes from all the medical center facilities.
  5. I perhaps overbid without using a free rebid, but I have been bidding up to $85 on a 3* in Bowling Green for about 3 weeks and initially started with a high bid. Finally got this hotel, which is good. Their lowest online rate is $99.
  6. I tried Premium for $19, was rejected, then put fullsize for $15 and was accepted. This airport is in Kentucky (thus belongs in this forum, based on geography), but service the Cincinnati Ohio metro area.
  7. I've been bidding hoping to get this hotel for 2-3 nights. I had bid up to $119 before, but tonight bid on free-rebids up to $123 which secured the reservation. I used the PRICELINE link.
  8. I started bidding at $35 and used free rebids until the $59 was accepted. The lowest rate on the hotel website is $139 for those dates. PS - I used your PRICELINE link to bid.
  9. The hotel is 4* and the Nightly rate is $147 (but I cant figure out how to edit the header to include it) Since the Barcelona hotel zones on the hotel list don't match the ones on Hotwire, I'm not sure how much this will help. Apparently the L'Eixample zone is newer as its not on the list. I believe this hotel has the following amenities: business center, internet, spa, fitness center, and restaurant. I used the HOTWIRE link.
  10. I started with a low $55 bid, as it was the lowest bid I saw accepted in this zone for the recent past. I was prepared to use all the rebids, but was surprised this bid was accepted the first try. Maybe I should have bid lower! I used the PRICELINE link on the site.
  11. This is a good deal. Lowest price on any other site is $109. I used the PRICELINE link here to place the bid.
  12. Thanks for the feedback. I'll post a brief review after my stay. I feel better about the property after reading your post.
  13. Was actually bidding on 3* and ended up getting this property. I hope it is ok - as reviews are mixed. I used the site's PRICELINE link for the bid.
  14. I've been bidding West Hollywood up to $115 for several days but without any luck. Westwood also works for me so started to bid that zone. Was offered a counter for $122 (on a $105 bid), but rejected and did a free re-bid and got it for $115. I'm happy with that. I used the site link to book.
  15. I've been bidding for an RDU airport hotel for about 5 days. I've been starting in the mid 30s, but finally got this one with a bid of $49. Lowest price available on the hotel website is $105.
  16. I've been bidding on a hotel here for 2 weeks, either looking for USW or SOMA 4*. I've been going up to $120 using free-rebids but have not had any luck. Tonight I bid USW up to $118 without any luck, but started a new bid sequence for SOMA at $110. Unfortunately I did not start a bit lower, so it may be possible this hotel would have had a lower rate, but probably not by much. I'm happy to get the property at $110 though (though the Intercontinental would have been great!) I used the PRICELINE link for my bid.
  17. I bid this same thing over the weekend and got no takers through $19. I guess inventory was released at the last minute, since I arrive tomorrow. I used the PRICELINE link.
  18. $53 seems to be the magic price for a 3.5* LAX airport hotel. I bid 4* up to $59 but had no takers. I bid the 3.5* starting at 45, then 50, and finally $53 with rebids. I saw several others got 3.5* hotels for that price, but mostly Crowne Plaza and Raddison - but I was pleased to get Hilton. I used the PRICELINE link.
  19. I bid up from $35 in $2-3 increments using free rebids. I tried the same with 3.5* hotels in the zone, but did not get any takers through $45. I used the PRICELINE link
  20. Sure, the amenity icons were - Fitness center, restaurant, business center, laundry service, internet
  21. This was a very good deal and great location. The lowest rate I could find on the same hotel was about $400/night.
  22. This was accepted on the first bid. I used the PRICELINE link
  23. The $45 was accepted on the first bid. Maybe I should have started lower?! Also, the hotel guide lists this as a 3.5* property, but priceline gave it to me as a 4* (as that is the only star-level that I bid), so they must have upgraded it recently.
  24. I've been bidding on this for a few days, trying to squeeze out something under $120 (which seems to be the magic number to get this hotel for May). $120 is a great price though. I used the PRICELINE link here to make the bid.
