  6. threw up a bid of $85 -- got this: We searched hundreds of options to find your hotel room, however we were not able to find a hotel that would accept your price for $85 per room, per night. Your credit card has not been charged for Request Number 214. During our search we found a hotel room available for $152 per room, per night. $152 for a 5 star! rebids to $101 did not work
  7. yea i had thought i would be able to use my ambassador intercontinental membership and my free night cert but it expires on 6/05 so i will use it in paris :) would still be nice to stay there... how about $200 a night? think that would do it? thank you

  9. Hi - need some assistance - bidding on a brussels priceline hotel... 4* seems to be the best on pl any thoughts? seems no rebid zones since the airport zone also has 4* thank you
  10. yea bloomsbury zone i believe - its right outside the euston train stop i believe. i hope its nice!
  11. Thanks for the info... now I need to figure out if I need londong from 7/2-7 or 7/3-7 and then I will be biddin' again - I wonder if this hilton will take my card too - the hilton in nyc i won on pl would not... Appears to have mixed reviews so far -- I wish people would not post things like "the cab ride was crap" and rates the hotel poorly :) I guess I got a good deal - who knows...
  12. ok the saga continues :) bid 4* mayfair 6/21 - 6/25 bid $99 received this: We searched hundreds of options to find your hotel room, however we were not able to find a hotel that would accept your price for $99 per room, per night. Your credit card has not been charged for Request Number 215. During our search we found a hotel room available for $151 per room, per night. If you are willing to accept this new price, you can get your hotel room right now. added southbank and raised bid to $105: We're sorry, but we couldn't find a hotel willing to accept your offer of $106 for a hotel room in the London, England area. added bloomsbury and raised bid to $108: Congratulations, you got your price of $108 for a 4-star hotel room. Hilton London Euston the cheapest on hilton.com shows at: $751 for the stay (USD) $540 im paying any thoughts on this place? So another piece of the trip is now set :) Thanks!
  13. i am wondering about this idea... what about buying a hotel directly thru holiday inn, hilton where i have freq cards? just a thought... what do you all think of this idea? Probably doesnt make sense but figured i would throw it out there... thanks for sticking with me!
  14. thanks - i need to study for an exam on monday sometime this weekend and write 2 papers - every night i been working on this trip -- not the schoolwork :) btw - i have been clicking your google ads on the top the last few days :) Update We're sorry, but we couldn't find a hotel willing to accept your offer of $88 for a hotel room in the London, England area. -- this was bloomy, kensington 4*
  15. not to make this more confusing but for leg 2 - 7/2-7/7 bid $70 for marble arch 4* We searched hundreds of options to find your hotel room, however we were not able to find a hotel that would accept your price for $70 per room, per night. Your credit card has not been charged for Request Number 209. During our search we found a hotel room available for $119 per room, per night. If you are willing to accept this new price, you can get your hotel room right now. rebid $79 - denied added mayfair - $85 - denied im done for tonight :)
  16. fyi - playing with it some more on 5* started at 135 with mayfair - nothing added rebid 1 - $140 - nothing added rebid 2 - $143 - nothing added rebid 3 and marble arch - $146 - nothing i think the person who said there is no 5* was right!
  17. aah i got ya -- so you do one rebid then start over so why is it that say i start with 4* i can pick more 4* zones on the second try? so in london there is one rebid zone if you start with 4* - South Bank - Vauxhall so basically i guess i need to up my bids to prob $150 or more for a 5* and see what happens?
  18. thanks for the indepth response... ok so basically here is what i think you are saying bid zone a - if declined close browser - then come back and bid a, b if declined close browser - then come back and bid a, c so basically everytime its declined you immediately close and restart - not adding a rebid zone and upping the price? thanks
  19. FYI - i tried $75 for my other segment 7/2-7/7 for 4* kensington and it was denied. $80 with the only rebid zone was also denied.
  20. 4* kensington -- bid $65 - this is what came back: We searched hundreds of options to find your hotel room, however we were not able to find a hotel that would accept your price for $65 per 4* room, per night. Your credit card has not been charged for Request Number 209-. During our search we found a hotel room available for $118 per room, per night. If you are willing to accept this new price, you can get your hotel room right now. any thoughts?
