  1. $63 is a steal for this place, it's one of the better places to stay in orlando.Wish i could get it for $63 a nice for the 24/27th
  2. 4/12 - 4/16 same thing.. $75 a nice in buena vista usually gives ya the hyatt regency at least.. But none during this time for me. Looks like we won't be taking a mini vacation afterall. Not paying $110 a night + resort fees..That's crazy! I usually get these places for $70ish
  3. So, i'm taking my girlfriend to NYC during new years, i know it won't be cheap. I am guestimating around 1k including hotel and flight before anything else. I plan to get a rent a car for a few days. I am leaning more towards going the newark route, and i also am not sure bidding is even an option for these dates... Most places are either already sold out, or they will be soon. Any thoughts or strategies for this? We don't expect to stay in city, not going to pay 300 a night, so i'm leaning more towards Newark as our only option, unless there is a NYC option? No mice,roaches.... heh Arrival date 12/29 mid morning, leaving around 6pm on 01/02/12 Tampa to NYC
  4. sorry i thought i edited it right to begin with 2/3 - 2/6 2011 and it's clearwater beach florida
  5. If that includes easter, that's probably why you will pay a premium.

  8. maybe hotwire is a better idea for this particular trip.
  9. well after talking with the gf, i think instead of dropping star level, ill just go into other zones. 6,13,14,15 were the zones i bid 95 into with no bites, i used 2 expired visa gift cards so i could get a lot of bids in with 4* and 3.5* along the beach. I am kinda scared about bidding for 4* in miami though, i mean i don't want stuck with the intercontinental, i read they charge $34 a day to park and you're forced to use valet....
  10. I bid 4* along the beach upto 95... and no bites, i think i am going to have to drop a star level, i don't want abusive parking or forced valet fees
  11. I like 4*+ and resorts. Would like to spend less than $90 a night. We are staying the weekend in miami after our cruise. additionally i want for less than $50 stay on 8/15 pre cruise night, ill be getting into miami about 1am.... And a nice sleep before heading to the terminal would be great... driving from tampa, i guess i could drive to naples or something and then goto bed/wakeup early and drive to the terminal... i am just protecting myself from waking up at 5am, and car breaking down 2 hours into the trip and losing a 4 day cruise heh
  12. Spent my anniversary there last weekend.... thur, fri, sat nights. it was by far the best hotel experience in orlando for us so far. better than the marriot world center over and over... they were super nice and offered champagne etc.. as well. I think i ended getting charged $23 for the 3 nights, not sure for what. i never got an email. However, i was charged $50 for the breakfast buffet which btw is pretty nice. It's not the best ever, but they have us everything we asked for.. eg.. butter condiments etc..
  13. Heh, not much i can do, 51 is a dollar more than it was last week, and i don't think the other 4* are on priceline right now or something . Picked it up for $51 for my gf's birthday.... Berns Steakhouse + 4 star hotel = anything i want? i think so! haha Congratulations, your price of $51 was accepted by Intercontinental Tampa. ....... 96% positive reviews on hotel.com ... can't be that bad, now to try and work myself a king bed! Will
  14. For 2/6 I think it's Intercontinental... $63 Was hoping to get the grand hyat for this evening, i know on price in the $50's the bids are being accepted, but of course who know's which hotel. Airport Shuttle Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access Idea's?
  15. I'm in! $88 2/12/10 till 2/14/10 Marriott Orlando World Center. Used the link on here to do my bidding :)
  16. Bad bidding by me, is making this more difficult. But i just got accepted at 95 and 93 with invalid cc's...Going to go back and try 90 next, maybe prices dropped today..Another accept on 90$ for this region and Resort level.... man this is going to be a pain in the ass. I guess next try is 85 so i can narrow it down to a $5 range 85 rejected, So that mean's it's either 86,87,88,89 or 90..... going to try 87 next.. 88 was the cheapest hit. I would rather have a 4 star. But i can't get 4 star in any zones that don't have a "resort" upgrade...tchea upgrade...
  17. Last evening at work, i had the range between lake Buena Vista - Downtown Disney 90 and 100 for resort. I'm thinking about taking a shot and hoping it's All of these seem ok ok trip advisor, i know one of these i forget which doesn't have the greatest reviews. But assuming, nothing new has been added and it's one of these, is the 90-100 range fairly good value? Seems so on hotel.com as prices are 200+ for these dates. 18. So, i decided to get in on saving a few dollars, of course using the PRICELINE link here :)... Anyway, i'm tired. I live in Tampa Florida and i've been trying every possible location to get a good deal for Valentines weekend,.. feb 12th and 13th nights. Unfortunately, it's been all for not. Nothing reasonable at 4* available along the beach in Sarasota/Vero Beach/Daytona Beach/St.Pete/Clearwater I of course have the option of orlando .My Girlfriend would be ok with Orlando if it was a 4+* Hotel. I'm a little scared of the resorts in orlando. Based on all the BS fee's etc... So i guess i have to pretty much suck it up and go with Orlando of some sort. I'm not sure what to do, I BELIEVE i can lock in resort prices in the 80's for that weekend, but it just feels like i'm being violated. Considering they are going to charge me $20 a night for fee, and than another what $10 a night for parking? I see mixed reviews about the new Hilton on trip advisor, but i wouldn't mind giving it a try. The Bohemian Hotel also sounds like something i'd be interested in, but then again i am sure someone is going to pop in and tell me... This is V-DAY i probably should make sure i get a king bed... huh :) My girlfriend and i are 5'10+ so big bed is needed.... With that being said, that's why i also was leaning towards sucking it up and throwing down for a resort.. Since most resorts on Hotwire appear to be 1br or 2br "Condo's" which i assume aren't small. Honestly, i'm just exhausted and curious to hear some opinions. Importantance is quality of the room, & amenities. We'll probably go out to eat off site or hit up a grocery store (if condo w/kitchen) and eat there... I may try the $20 trick as well, but i suspect on vday weekend... It's going to be packed... i'm very indecisive if it's not evident already.... Which means i'm worried that if i don't get a resort... I'm going to be stuck in some ghetto tower for priceline/hotwire frugal people... I guess it's all about rolling the dices? I did that at the mid town best western on a getaway weekend in sarasota... Best hotel stay of 2009... And it was $65 retail price..... Edit.. I think i am going to run the bid train on the Orlando (Lake Buena Vista - Downtown Disney) area.. Seems all those resorts have good marks. If i can lock one in at a good price, i'll roll with it.
