  1. I cannot tell you what the Cape Coral/North Ft Myers hotel is, but I can tell you it will be about 30-45 minutes from the beach area. I only know that from living in this area.
  2. Just reading this, isn't the Hilton Bonnet Creek the new hotel they built on Bonnet Creek's property and not the Timeshare owned by Wyndham? That is what I think this winning bid is for. Still an awesome win if it is the new hotel. It is next to the Waldof Astoria. :) I just questioned the resort.. I want to say this is not the Wyndham Bonnet Creek you are thinking of, but the new Hotel for the Hilton on the same property. They aren't the timeshare with the various size units. I could be wrong, but that is my thoughts. Hilton and Waldof Astoria built at the end of the road past the Wyndham's timeshare. They just both just recently opened too
  3. After playing with HOTWIRE all day & a few bids on PRICELINE for a 3 star, this is what I ended up with.... and very happy I might add!!!! "Your Price Was Accepted" "Congratulations, your price of $35 was accepted by Clarion Hotel Universal. Save even more when you add a rental car below." My dates are 8/8-8/13. I had no bouns money but hey, for this hotel at $35 per night, I am thrilled! I did go thru the PRICELINE link on this site. Thanks for the help over on the Hotwire board as well. I decided to try once more with PRICELINE. I was shooting for a 3* but started a new bid & lowerd my stars (and price). Like I said, I am very happy! Thank you! :) :) :o
  4. I just checked this board and there are no reviews. The reviews on Trip Advisor are not the best. The hotel's own website has rates that start out at $34 per night if you book online. I will skip this one & try something else. The others I think I can figure out from the hotel list on this site.. thanks for the help. I will let you know when I book.. I may just wait a few more days and see what rates pop up. I have tried a few priceline bids today but no bites. I did not post on the priceline board. Thanks again... :)
  5. Thanks! I will check them out on the Hotel Reviews board and Trip Advisor. I will let you know what I do. I am looking for the least expensive that I can do for a last minute trip before school starts up. :) My daughter will be turning 20 on the 9th and this is what she wants as part of her gift too. She wants to ride the new Simpson ride :) Either way, I will be using Hotwire and this site, even if I do not do the $32 hotel.
  6. Anyone know the ID for this: 2.5-star hotel in SeaWorld - I-drive South Area 8/8/08 to 8/13/08 $32 per night Pool, Business Center, Golf, Restaurant, High speed internet I looked on the suggested list of hotels and there are no 2.5*'s with Golf for this area. Thanks in advance! :) Yes, I am going thru the HOTWIRE Link here, is there any other way.... :) Without this board, I would not use HOTWIRE!
  7. Thanks.. I am not sure about doing the Days Inn. I haven't read too many good things about it. We are trying to look for something as cheap as possible. We were thinking of doing a timeshare tour at the Hyatt for $79 per night (great rate since it is normally $390) but we can only get that rate for 3 nights. My husband doesn't want to spend the money on the gas for the trip down there for only 3 nights. We are already doing Orlando for 2 weeks over the summer and cannot afford too much more. I guess I will have to wait and maybe see what else comes up. I really do not want to pass up that timeshare promo. I will just keep checking hotwire. Yes, I will use the link when I am ready to book thru HOTWIRE... thanks again :)
  8. I am looking at a 2 star in Key West for $84. It is for July 9th -13th. The amenities are pool, near beach & laundry. The other is a 2.5 star in Marathon, same dates & it is $104 per night. The amenities there are pool, internet, fitness center & restaurant... any clues on these? Thanks....
  9. Figures, by the time I got to it, the price was showing more than the $36 ($49). I went with one that was $39 2.5* SeaWorld South I-Drive area. It showed the ammenities to be Suite, Pool, Internet, Cont Breakfast & Laundry. By going onto the list, I figured it out to be the Comfort Suites on Turkey Lake Drive. I am ok with that place. Sure enough that is what it was :o Not bad for Easter Weekend :) Thanks for the help with the others! Oh, by the way, they did show some ammenites for that 2 star that had none (if it is indeed the same hotel). When I just went back to see what they were, they were gone again :) and the 3 star on North I-Drive was down to $39 and the one I just got at $39 is showing $44! Boy does their inventory change often :) HotelName:Comfort Suites Orlando See details 9350 Turkey Lake Rd. Orlando, Florida 32819 (407) 351-5050 1 room(s) @ $39.00 per night x 3 night(s) SubTotal:$117.00 Tax recovery charge and fees TaxesAndFees:$21.67 Total: $138.67 oh did use the HOTWIRE link to purchase :D
  10. Sorry for doing the posts seperate. After I did the first one, I realized I wanted to ask on the other & didn't think of just editing. I was thinking the same on the 3* after reading all your tips (and list :) ) but that 2 star really has me stumped. I am going to go ahead and do the 3 star, if it is still there today. I will let you know how I make out. Thanks for your help.
  11. same dates as my other post March 21, 22 & 23 (3 nights) and this is for a 2 star hotel. It is coming up $29 but there are no amenities listed. Have any clues on this one? Says a savings of $16.67 which isn't that great. I think the other hotel (3*) would be a much better deal. Just trying to figure out where either of these might be. I want to be close to Universal Orlando. 2-star hotel in SeaWorld - I-drive South Area Thanks
  12. coming up for $36 per night March 21, 22nd & 23rd. Has internet, pool & Restaurant. Do you have any idea on what it could be? Says $63.63 savings per night thanks!
  13. thanks... I am going to look up Homestead. I don't think there is one there. I was shocked to see that there was "no pool", that is what is making me not want to do it.
  14. Which hotel could this be from Hotewire (dates are 7/13-7/17): Universal Orlando and SeaWorld Area 2* level Selected amenities include: Kitchenette, Laundry Facilities (self-service). View complete amenity list and description Kitchenette Laundry Facilities (self-service) Ref No. 5051084432 Best Value! Economy $32 per room per night I tried looking at what is posted under the Hotwire hotel lists & nothing matches this....
  15. $27.41 for taxes & fees. I think Priceline charged more than the $5.95 service fee.. Tax is 11.5% for this hotel. The tax should have come to $18.40. .... That leaves $9.01 as the "service fee". (sorry for not getting back to the post sooner....)
  16. Hi...just got the Comfort Inn-LBV again..for friends of mine for a Disney trip.... 7/18-7/26..... $20. per night..... this hotel seems to be coming up a lot on Priceline for that price range....
  17. Just wanted to let every one know... last week got a 2* Comfort Inn in Lake Buena Vista for $20 per night...7/24-27th **************************************** And tried again yesterday for a 2* same area for Labor Day Weekend.... got it again (the Comfort Inn in Lake Buena Vista) for 19 per night......8/29-9/1 I have never stayed at this hotel before....but for the price... I don't think I will complain (unless it is totally filthy dirty).... :)
  18. Not sure if I am posting this in the correct forum, but I have been doing some searching for Dec 20-24 on Hotwire as well as Universal's FAN CLUB site for rates. Hotwire has a 5* (with all of Portafino's ammentieites) for $183 (now)..... a few hours ago it was $190. If you go onto Univeral's Official web site & check rates with the FAN Club discount for the same dates, it is $181... so if you book directly with them, you will know for sure that is the resort you have... and you will save over what Hotwire has it for..... agian not sure if this is where to post this......just wanted to let everyone know :)
  19. thereuare.... you are 100% correct & I thank this board for the tips. :)
  20. Just an update... No I didn't purchase it .... I didn't want to chance it. If it had the Children's Activites, I would have..... without that amenitie, the chance was nill of it being the Hard Rock..... and that was the one I was looking for.
  21. Scorp... yes, that was the one that I was questioning..... I have never used Hotwire and I am nervous for some reason. Priceline, now that is a different story... I have used them countless times & have been happy 99% of the time :)
  22. Hi this is my first time posting on this board. I have been reading it for about a month now. I have been trying to figure out some of the hotels that come up with Hotwire. I know it is posted on this site (as well as another) that the 4 1/2 * in the Universal area could be the Hard Rock Hotel. I have been checking on Hotwire the last few days & a 4 1/2 * is coming up but dosen't show the children's activites..... what other 4 1/2*'s could this be???????? Anyone have a clue???? It is coming up for 7/17-7/20 & for $84??????
