  1. Actually both my brothers said it was actually pretty nice. They each had a suite with a small kitchen. Beds were comfortable & rooms were really clean. The only thing was that parking was very limited. For the price, they were very happy & they would book it again if needed :-)
  2. This Hotel has not been reported previously. I booked 2 rooms for my brothers that have to attend a funeral there. We're a bit disspointed as we thought we would get the Holiday Inn or Best Western. Pictures look like the rooms are really old but the reviews are not bad. I will report back after their stay. Hotel Amenities Free parking Free breakfast Free Internet Indoor pool(s) Airport shuttle Fitness center Pool(s) Business center Self-service laundry Internet access Accessibility Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Accessible parking Roll-in shower $56/night +$12 taxes & fees Total $68/room/night Advertised rate on Priceline was $89/night
  3. My first "not so good" experience in bidding on Priceline. I Bid $125 for a 3* thinking I would get the Best Wetern Plus if the bid was accepted. Instead I got the Ramada which was listed at only $109/night at regular price :( I called Priceline customer service immediately. At first the agent refused to do anything for me but I stayed calm & insisted that they should at least match the price listed on Priceline's own site. I made a point to have him look at my history so he can see that I use their site a lot & told him it was inconceivalbe for me to pay more bidding than if I would have just reserved on the site without even prepaying. He finally conceided & issued me a credit. So I'm not getting any deal compare to the rate listed on Priceline on this Hotel but at least I'm not going to be paying more. Obviously I could have bid less if I would have guessed that this Hotel might accept the bid. Truly it was my error so I'm glad the agent accepted to help me. Please add this Hotel to the list of 3* accepting bids on Priceline in Kelowna. Hopefully others will be forwarned that this Hotel might accept bids in Kelowna so will not put a higher bid than the listed rate for this Hotel. Hope this will help others. Thanks again for your wonderful site.
  4. Just letting you know that we decided to hold off on our trip to Iceland for now. Thanks for the help :-)
  5. Thanks for your help. The only additional amenity I saw after following your instructions is "Internet access" We're still on the research part of our trip & we haven't booked plane tickets yet. I'll come back & post our final decision & results
  6. Very Sorry, I thought I had posted our decision as I always make a point to post our wins. I really can't remember what we did & how we did it :-( I looked at my Credit Cards statements & can't even see a charge for a hotel room, PriceLine or Hotwire. This is really a mystery to me because I know I was there & I have several charges for LA restaurants. The only clue I have is there's a charge at the Omni for $16 so we must have stayed there. This must have been for our internet connection. Again I apologize, we go downtown LA a lot & I really can't remember where we stayed on that specific trip.
  7. Can anyone please help identify the following on Hotwire for March 25th-April1st 2015: 3* Reykjavik $51/night 75% recommended Free Parking Free Internet Restaurant(s) Business Center 4* Reykjavik $82/night 85% recommended Free internet Free Breakfast Smoke free rooms restaurant(s) I used your HOTWIRE link for my research & will use the link to book.
  8. Does anyone know if I win a bid for Burlington if I can leave my car there for 10 days while I fly away for a vacation? Several hotel in Burlington offer a night with up to 30 days of parking priced at $124 & above depending of the hotel.
  9. I've been trying for several weeks at $50 & $55 with no success. I was offered to increase my bid several times to $66 but I rejected it. I have no re-bid in that area so I just kept trying every few days. Since we're getting close to the date I decided to raise my bid to $58 & it was accepted! $58 + $13.92 taxes & fees = $71.92 It includes a full american breakfast so I'm happy with that. I used your PRICELINE link for all my researches & bidding. Thanks!
  10. No for this leg of our trip we'll be only the 2 of us so we need only 1 room. Sorry I forgot to mention that :)
  11. Just giving you an update: My husband really wants us to get a 4* so for now I've made reservations that I can cancel up to 24hrs in advance at the Omni for $195/night. In the mean time, I've been checking rates on Kayak, Hotwire & the Express deals every day. Yesterday I noticed a new listing was added to the Express Deals for a 4* $245/night. Because it's a 8.0 guest rating & a "guest favorite" I'm guessing it's the Westin Bonaventure although they don't mention the pool & restaurant. Even if it's another hotel, I'm sure we would be happy with any 4* Downtown LA. The Westin Bonaventure has also been bringing their rate down every few days from $329 at the highest point to $259 as of tonight. The rates for the Sheraton & The Standard have also been coming down. In any case when I saw that yesterday I tried to bid from $125-$165 with no success. I'll keep watching every day & will keep trying to bid up to Friday. If we don't get it by then we'll go to the Omni. I will let you know the final results. I've been using your links every time I do my research or bidding. Thanks!
  12. Express Deal so an extra 5% off with the FALL5 promo code Came to $105.92 after discount, taxes & fees First page: Guest rating 8.0 "Guest favorite" Includes free breakfast & internet. Second page: Free Breakfast Free Internet in room Outdoor Swimming Pool Business Center Fitness Center I posted a previous priceline hotel win that I got 2 rooms earlier but 2 other people were joining us so we needed a 3rd room. I was pretty sure it was the same hotel because it said "marina view" in the description of the bed choices so I knew it was not the other Best Western. I'm very happy with this deal as I called the hotel & the lowest rate they would give me was $152.10 + tx We haven't figured out what to do for our stay downtown for Oct 27 & 28 yet. I'll post on that thread when we make our final decision. As usual, I've used your PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links for all my research & bookings :) Thanks!
  13. OK. Thanks for the info. I'll post our final decision when we make it. I've been using your PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links for my research. I'll keep using them. I love this site. That's the lease I can do :)
  14. I checked a little further & The Los Angeles Athletic Club, Luxe City Center Hotel don't have rooms available for my dates. The Oxford Palace does. It actually might work as it is very near a Metro Station but the current rate is $123/night. Would Priceline have a PRICELINE EXPRESS Deal that is only $11 less?
  15. Wow! I never heard of any of those 3. I looked up all those 3 & the first 2 would work but not the Oxford Place. I'm trying to stay under $110 so the HOTWIRE won't work. In the past I have gotten the Bonaventure many times under $90/night & that's what I was hoping for but they must have a convention or something because their rate is very high this time & they are not offering any deals. I called the Omni & they said they have only 10 rooms left. On PRICELINE they only show the Miyako for a 3* Downtown. Do you really think they would have a Hotel in the Express Deal that they don't list in their usual offers?
  16. I've been trying to bid for a 4* downtown with no success for the last couple months for Oct 27-29. Today I bid up to $160 & I was still not accepted. I don't want to bid for a 3.5* because I don't want the Biltmore. I see in the Express Deal a 3* for $112 Guest rating 8.0 "guest favorite" free internet. That's the only amenities I see even after I click "choose". Which hotel could this be?
  17. Woohoo! I tried for many weeks up to $100 without success. Tonight I saw that the Hotwire rate went down from $164 to $129 & the Express Deal from $161 to $91 so I decided to try bidding again. I started at $65 & I got an offer at $86. I rejected it & continued bidding in $5 increments adding re-bed zones. I was accepted at $75 So I got 2 rooms for 1 night, w/taxes & fees it came to 181.74 total We're going to see a show downtown so it will be fun to go for drinks after & stay downtown. I did use the PRICELINE link. Thanks again!
  18. I suspected it was the Best Western so I went for it & it was! For both rooms $168 - 5% coupon + Taxes = $189.86 Hoping we won't regret it. I had been bidding for several weeks with no success up to $130 for a 3.5*+ trying to get the Crown Plaza or the Portofino with no luck. I used the PRICELINE link. Thanks!
  19. Oct 26-27th 2 rooms $84/room Details: 3* Hermosa Beach - Redondo Beach area 8 out 10 guest favorite Free Breakfast Free Internet in room Outdoor Swimming Pool Business Center Fitness Center
  20. If that's the case I think I'll pass & keep trying for the Bonaventure or the Checkers on PRICELINE. I got those both on previous trips at great rates & they were both great. I checked the Biltmore & it doesn't look good for a 4*. Thanks for your help. I'll post my results when I make my finale decision. I'll be using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links for sure
  21. I did what yu said & this is what came up: Indoor pool(s) Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Spa Services Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Wheelchair accessible Accessible bathroom Each amenitiy has a description but I took those off for easier reading. The hotel is offered at $113 now. I'm concerned with the 60% rating
  22. Please help me ID this Hotel as I'm thinking of taking this deal instead of waiting closer to my dates to bid on Priceline. I've bid all the way up to $105 on Priceline with no success. Hotwire offers a 4* Downtown Oct 26-29 for $110/night Indoor pool(s) Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Spa Services Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility
  23. Reporting back that we parked at Pacific Place which was only 1 1/2 block away. We had no in & out privileges but we parked from 2:30pm Sat. until 2pm on Sunday & we only paid $20 Hotel was great! Perfect location to visit downtown!
  24. After trying for days but only going up to $150 I was getting a bit desperate so I started upping my bid. Once I hit $180 I got an offer for $219. I rejected it & tried $185, $190 & 195. I was accepted at $195 minus the 5% Summer discount so it's $185.25/room/night. I bid for 2 rooms. Not as good a deal as I would have liked but I really needed 2 rooms for that night & several hotels had no vacancies so I was afraid to wait longer. I'm happy with the Sheraton. It's a great location! A usual I used your PRICELINE link to do my research & bidding. Thanks for all the great info on this site. Now I need to figure out an good overnight parking lot that will cost less than the Sheraton's parking
  25. I've been bidding on Priceline for several weeks up to $145 with no success. I saw this deal on Hotwire & since I was pretty sure it was the St. Giles (thanks to previous posters) I decided to take it. It appears to be a nice Hotel, in a nice location, reviews are good on tripadvisor & they offer a king size bed. Several of the other Hotels in New York only offer double beds for Priceline customers. I figure at this point I would have been lucky to get anything under $140/night so it would not have been a big savings to wait. At least now I don't have to keep looking & bidding every so often. The total for 4 nights came to $755.66 after taxes & fees. The Amenities were: Free internet, pet friendly, fitness center, restaurant(s), business center & High speed internet access As usual I used your link for bidding. Thanks for all the great info!
