  1. Thanks so much. I will update if I go ahead. I narrowed it down to the one you mentioned, The Hills Hotel or Springhill Suites...
  2. Hi, can someone pls help me with ID'ing the following hotel: Jan 2-6 2018 3.5* US$67/night Amenities: Free Internet, Boutique hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Golf nearby, Tennis nearby, Spa services, Children's activities, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower 4/5 on Tripadvisor based on 322+ reviews HW: 100% recommended (2 total reviews) Thanks so much.
  3. I did not decline HW's offer at the time of my post. it was the hotel's offer.
  4. Well, I shared what I learned not to open a case per se but was intended to exchange notes with Kyle and others here who may be similarly affected. In the end, they offered me the same deal: they would 1) charge me the same amount again as my original booking, 2) gave me HW$ for an amount that together with the payment in 1) would total the amount required for the "new hotel", and 3) refund the original booking charge. I might be staying there a bit earlier than you, Kyle. My case at this point is just as "open" as yours.
  5. So, after speaking with RR, this was a case of mistake rate.. not sure if I believe them, and even if I believe them, it is unclear whose mistake it was. Was offered 20% off current rate, but I declined.
  6. Thanks for your follow-up, Kyle. I started with my first call last night and outlined my position that I booked a 5-star, etc. They said they would have someone review my file and get back to me within a day (and it is coming up to the 24-hour mark). I will share as well what the resolution is.
  7. Thanks for your posts as well, Kyle. I am in the same boat and am in the middle of 'negotiating" with HW.
  8. Hi, Sorry - dates were two nights - April 22 and 23. Getting this rate covering a Saturday night made this decision easy. Here is the complete list of amenities: Resort, Free parking, Free Internet, Casino, Airport shuttle, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby, Spa services, Children's activities, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking
  9. Was poking around for a while and came across a $39 rate (might show as $40) with a description as follows: 5-star Casino Hotel in Downtown Summerlin - Red Rocks area 95% recommended Amazing! (348 reviews), 4.5/5 on Tripadvisor (2001+ reviews) Last person got the Red Rock Complimentary Internet and free parking Amenities: airport shuttle, business center, casino, fitness center, pool(s), resort, restaurant $33.69 resort fee per room per night Hotwire review: 4.5//5 on overall satisfaction, condition of hotel, quality of service, room comfort, room cleanliness, 4/5 for location of hotel I could not be any happier with the purchase.
  10. i have been eyeing this hotel as well. FWIW my best guess is Best Western St. Rose. There is only one hotel that is 2/2.5 stars in the Hotwire map for the executive airport area.
  11. Yes, I see the full amenities once I click the Green button. The Westin is exactly what I am looking for! Thanks again.
  12. Hi, thanks for the help and tips. It is the same hotel as the one you located (US$75/nt). I copied and pasted all the amenities I saw from my HW search, so the full list of amenities you provided has amenities not shown in my original HW search. So based on the hotel you identified (which is the same hotel as the one from my search), Westin Bayshore would be your best guess? Internet is not free at this hotel for all guests. I see that no one has won recently on Hotwire but someone did win this property through PL bidding. Thanks again!
  13. Hi, I think this is the Westin Bayshore but the number of reviews seems really low... I searched this forum and the Westin Bayshore seems to have rooms on HW as far back as 2012... Thanks. 4-star Resort in Vancouver Downtown - Coal Harbour - Stanley Park area Sun, Jan 01 - Mon, Jan 02 1 Room, 2 Adults 95% recommended Amazing! (191 reviews) (2001+ reviews) on TA amenities: Business center Fitness center Indoor pool(s) Internet access Pet friendly Pool(s) Resort Restaurant(s) Smoke-free rooms
  14. Just pulled up this thread when doing my homework... this hotel is nowhere near downtown/entertainment district!
  15. No other amenities were showing - i cut and pasted every amenity. Thanks.
  16. Based on this thread (http://www.betterbidding.com/index.php?showtopic=217921) I was fairly certain that it was the Westin and I am glad it is. 1653 reviews, 90% recommended, TA had 4.5 based on 300-500 reviews. Amenities were: Complimentary Free parking Amenities Business center Fitness center Golf nearby Internet access Pet friendly Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Self-service laundry
  17. Fairly pleased with this property for $88. HW showed that it was still gathering reviews but the TA review box popped up as showing 4/5... so was fairly confident that this was either the Hilton or the MVP.
  18. Thanks to grayh's post a while back when a room was scored for $108, I tried the same area and used approximately the same price in C$ terms. Tried it yesterday and failed, but just tried C$116 and got this property. This is great because this was the hotel I wanted all along and the C$116 = US$108 based on today's FX rate.
  19. With the "bipolar" reviews of this property, I really wonder whether the hotel offers crappy rooms for PL guests...
  20. This is a good alternative to the Holiday Inn Vancouver Airport. Free parking is offered at this hotel and rooms are generally available months in advance!
  21. Honestly, this hotel is "blocking" me from using PL to bid 3* in Richmond. Loss of business, most definitely...
  22. I did not have a good experience here and frankly, the prospect of getting this 3* property is preventing me from bidding 3* in Richmond with the hope of getting the Holiday Inn or 4Pts. Good luck with it though!
  23. Hi, would appreciate any assistance in identifying this 100% recommended property: 4-star Hotel in North Vancouver This Hotel features the following amenities: Free Internet Indoor Pool Smoke Free Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking
  24. The Best Western Abercorn Inn must have been recently added to the PriceLine inventory for 3* hotels, at least for November. This place is a complete DUMP - contrary to the description provided on the BW website, the hotel was definitely not completely renovated in 2011. The walls are old, linens were old, carpets were old, and the elevators took forever. There have been other nice properties on PriceLine at the 3* level in Richmond, including the Holiday Inn on Cambie or the Four Points on Alexandria. However, I cannot seem to get these now that this crappy BW has been added.
