I think you're right about the Hyatt...I noticed that someone recently got it for $70 when the Hyatt's rate was $209 which is exactly the rate they are showing for my stay of 6/10/06...but since I'm only going to be in the city for 1 night and I'd like to be centrally located, I'm not really willing to stay at Penn's Landing.
I'm starting to think the 4* being offered is the Lowes.
Which I don't think is comparable to the Westin so I guess I'll probably just stick with my existing reservation.
I currently have a reservation at the Westin for 1 night on 6/10/06 using Starpoints. I"m tempted though to save my 10,000 pts and take a 4 star that hotwire is showing for $121 but I'm having trouble figuring out which hotel it is since the only 4 star your list is showing is the Westin but the ammenities listed for the opaque 4 star are the following and the Westin doesn't have a pool.
Restaurant(s)
Pool(s)
Fitness Center
Spa Services
High-speed Internet Access
Business Center
I was looking at 6/13/04 to 6/20/04 The ammenities are as follows:
Resort
Beach Access
Beachfront
Restaurant(s)
Pool(s)
Fitness Center
Business Center
Golf Course Nearby
Tennis Court Nearby
Spa Services
Children's Activities
Laundry Facilities
Looks like its easy to match the ammenities up w/ the opaque hotel being offered in Kanapali for $157/night
Just a note, the Sheraton in Maui on Kaanapali Beach is being listed now in the vacation packages as 4* and not 4.5*. Looks like its been downgraded.
3* $33 FLL West - Rejected , added Miramar (Free Rebid)
3* $38 FLL West - Rejected, added P. Beach (Free Rebid)
3* $40 FLL West - Accepted
Crowne Plaza (at Sawgrass Mills)
Here's the link to their website that priceline provided, its actually different than the one provided in the hotel list I guess because, "this hotel is independently owned by Cardel at Sawgrass and operated by Cardel Hospitality Group.
www.cardelhotels.com/prop..._plaza.asp
Lowest available rates on their website were $89/night for 1/10 and 1/11 and $109/night for 1/12
Your Offer Price: $40.00
Number of Rooms: 1
Number of Nights: 3
Subtotal: $120.00
Taxes and
Service Fees: $21.47
Total Charges: $141.47
Sorry for the late response...I paid $40/night for 1/10/04 to 1/13/04
I just booked a hotel in the plantation area via priceline...I know the hotel you are referring to and I"m almost positive that its the Crowne Plaza (at Sawgrass Mills) which is actually the hotel I won. If you go to the vacation packages section you can see the amenities that exist at the Crowne Plaza and compare them to the 3.5* distinctive hotel that you see...but like I said, I"m prety sure its the Crowne Plaza.
First off, thank you very much for your speedy and detailed reply.
I think I am going to wait a few days before I decide since I still have about a month before I need the reservation and though I prefer the Westin, the $$ that I could save on a different 4* on priceline is making me wonder if I should go the houtwire route. However, if I decide to make the hotwire purchase I will certainly post the results so we can all confirm if the hotel is indeed the Westin. Thanks again for your assistance. :)
I'm new to this board and I was hoping someone could help me out in identifying this hotel. I think its the Westin but I'm not sure.
The ammenities listed are:
Restaurant
Fitness
High Speed Internet Access
Business Center
Spa
I was looking to stay 1 night 7/12 to 7/13 and the price was $138. I noticed that others received the Westin for around $120..so do you think even if it likely is the Westin, should I wait a few days and see if the price drops?

Spoke to my wife and she felt like we were better off saving the points...went ahead w/ the hotwire offer and it was indeed the Lowe's hotel. Thanks to the site for making it pretty much a sure thing.
