  1. Looking at a 4* hotel in Disney Springs area for 2 adults during 10/29/16 - 10/30/16.  Price is $81- a "Hot Rate" that is 85% recommend with 4/5 Trip Advisor rating. Amenities are:Business center, Golf nearby, Internet access, Pool(s), Resort, Restaurant(s), Self-service laundry, Smoke-free rooms

    Accessibility: Accessible for visually impaired

I'm thinking it's the Hilton Vista, but wasn't sure. Any help will be very much appreciated, thanks!

  2. Booked 2 rooms with Priceline. LBV Resort. My friend had bid $89 for her room and got the same hotel.

I went el cheapo route with $50, $60, $70 and then the next day $75 and got 2 rooms, 1 night. I wasn't sure if we could do 2 nights, but it looks like only 1 room wants too and I would have to extend both rooms. So I'll either take my chances and try LBV again or Universal / Downtown Otown. Either way I'm very happy with my win! Never stayed here before!

    Thanks BB!

  3. Please, help me to identify this hotel:

    4* Orlando (Seaworld I-Drive South area) $59, 2 adults

    August 27-29

    Amenities:

    Fitness center

    Pool

    Restaurant

    Business Center

    Laundry Facilities

    High Speed Internet Access

    Golf Nearby

    Spa Services

    Thank you!

Did you ever figure out which hotel this was? I'm looking at the same one in September (minus the laundry amenity). 80% recommended by reviewers..

    Thanks!

  4. I guess things happen for a reason because we loved our hotel! :) The location was awesome, free breakfast (waffles were good, eggs were okay), free wifi & free gym (not that we used it b/c our legs were tired from sightseeing). The rooms were a good size too. Loud trucks outside, but it's the city and expected. Staff was friendly & rooms were clean. Had a great stay & just wanted to thank betterbidding again for your help. Will always use this site when traveling.

    :)

  5. I usually don't make sense. :)

When I wrote the up to $... I used rebid zones and such so it wasn't just one bid. I used the strategy we had, but over time had upped the amount. I think I didn't bid as high in some places as others because I preferred MSG & TS. So MSG (2.5*-3.5*) & TS (3.5*-4*) are my location preferences.

I bid yesterday after 4pm so I don't think I can bid again unless I have my husband try. If I do bid again, it'll be up to $160 b/c at $180 I get free breakfast & wifi so that'll make it comparable.

BTW I just tried $135 for 2.5* MSG with no luck.

I'll let you know if I try under the hubby's name.

    Thanks!

  6. I have bid the following:

    MSG 3.5* up to $170

    3* up to $150

    TS 4* up to $173

    3.5* up to $160

    MTW 4* up to $160

    MTE 4* up to $155

As mentioned before I am staying 4/20-4/24 & would like late check out- but i wouldn't pay more than $50 for it. I have a friend in Chelsea if needed.

MSG is really where I want to be if I'm doing 2.5*s. It's central & the most direct route to LI. The 2.5* listed look nice enough too. I just don't want a hotel with a shared bath, but I don't see any that have that.

Today before 4pm is my last chance. Does $135 for a 3.5* sound good? I'd save some cash, that's for sure.

I think I can also bid again on a 4* in MTW... so i may try that too.

Thanks again. No matter what, you all have been a great help!!

  7. I've been trying every couple days and see people get great deals around the same time frame. I have not been so lucky and although I'm happy for all your winners.. I'm a bit jealous. lol

I still have the Wingate for $180/night and I have until 4pm tomorrow to cancel.

I've tried bidding again today for everything except the 2.5 star in MSG. (Which is what I currently have now w/the Wingate)

Sooo mighty bidders I have one last shot.

How much should I bid for a 2.5* in MSG?

Priceline only shows 3 hotels available that day:

Holiday Inn Express NYC Times Square

    Hotel 373 Fifth Avenue

Hampton Inn NY 35th Street (I think this may be the only one in MSG)

Just don't want to get another hotel that has shared bathrooms.. EW!

    Thoughts?

    Thanks!!

    PS

My previous bids for 3.5 to 4*s went up to $176

  8. Match both Hyatt and Renaissance Airport.

Best guess would be Hyatt with a small reservation for Renaissance.

Sorry, but this is the best answer i can give you.

Please use the site's HOTWIRE link to start your purchase, and let us know how it goes or if you need any additional help with your stay.

    Yellowdog.

It's the Hyatt!! Woohoo!! I wonder if I can check-in in my PJs and then go back to my room before it's time to board...? lol

Any recommendations on a good off-site park & fly?

    THANKS!

  9. I decided to take a chance and used PRICELINE instead. I got the Hilton Bonner Creek for $80 a night using the PRICELINE link from betterbidding.

Congrats! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this hotel!!! The brunch in Harvest Bistro is $20 but sooo good!! But the POOL is the best part!! Here's a link to some pics of the hotel.

    Have fun!

  10. Went up to $170 in MSG area today with no luck. (3.5*)

I DID find the Wingate by Wyndham hotel (near Penn Station) for $181 a night so I booked that as a fall back since it allows me 48hrs to cancel. Free Breakfast & Wifi! Only downer besides being a bit high in budget was check out is at 11am and they charge you the rate of the room if you check out after 12pm.. So that kind of sucks since I'll have to be in limbo all day 'till my 8pm flight..

I'm going to keep trying my hand at PRICELINE though and will keep you posted.

    thanks!

    Lena

  11. I would consider 4* MTE (to avoid Millennium like you said). 3.5 & 4* TS. 4* MTW (not sure about the 3.5* there). But I doubt they'll be cheaper than the MSG hotels. Cost has become a factor since I had to add a night to my stay. I only prefer MSG now b/c I have to travel to LI & back one day & JFK by train on my way out. Plus it's less than 15mins to MOMA, Gerswhin, etc. I have friends downtown, Upp E & Chelsea so that's not really an issue for me. As for the 2.5* they all seem to be like comfort inns & such and the good thing about them is you know what you get. While some Boutique upscale hotels have worse reviews than 2.5. Honestly, I'm at the point where I just want a King or Queen bed, clean room w/A/C & cozy bedding, & convenient location. Oh and late check out if I can get it.. Who needs a gym when you're trekking around NYC anyways. :)

Long story short... I'd love to get something around $150 (before or after taxes... whatever)

    In order of preference...

    MSG 3.5* & 2.5* & 3*

    TS 4*

    MTE 4*

    TS 3.5*

    MTW 4* & 3.5*

Once again, Thank you for your patience. :)
