  1. Was my first bid, didn't start low and re-bid up.
  2. First bid, thought I tried low enough to re-bid the price up but my first bid was accepted. Extremely nice rooms at twice the price :)
  3. I should have started lower and worked up. This was my first and only bid, but hey, not a bad deal.
  4. Used the price from the previous bidders, got it on the first bid. Go Broncos! Thanks!
  5. Hit it on my first bid. Its been a while since I've been able to get this hotel, but I found out why. It used to be listed as a 3* and now its a 2.5*. I have been bidding on 3* to try and get it with no luck.
  6. Started at $50, 4* in Salt Lake City Downtown, added new areas as I bid 56, 62, then my bid was accepted at $68. I've gotten better 4* Salt Lake prices than this in the past, but not so far this year.
  7. I first bid on 4* Downtown and used up all of my re-bids, bidding in $5 increments all the way from $51 to $86 without any luck. I then bumped down to 3* and started at $50 in the Downtown area, which apparently was too high to start because my first bid was accepted. I don't mind at all getting it for $50, but I noticed afterwards that people have been getting the University Park Marriott for $35. I'll get it next time! Go Jazz!
  8. Is there an active promotion code for this? I tried the one posted above and it said it was invalid. I'm trying to get a room for 4/21/07, kind of last minute.
  9. It was the Downtown Marriot. Not sure about the rejected bids question, I started at 55 and was rejected in 6 or 7 dollar increments up until my winning bid. Thanks
  10. A bit rough on the bidding. Started at $55 and bid it all the way up to $91 with 5 or 6 re-bids. Not sure what is going on in SLC this week, but thats the highest I have had to bid for the Marriott yet.
  11. Of course, no re-bids available in this area, so I guessed as low as I dared and got it for $39 on the first bid.
  12. I bid $50 on the first bid because I didn't dare bid any lower, had to have the room tonight and there is only 1 zone available to bid in. Rates elsewhere on the internet are $89 for the same room. Not a bad deal, across the lake from the State Capitol Building
  13. Bid $50 first try, denied. Added an area and re-bid at $53, accepted.
  14. Marked as "Best Value" 1+ Restaurant 1+ Pool Fitness Center High-Speed Internet Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Business Center Not sure what other info to put, my first time using Hotwire, I struck out on Priceline.
  15. I needed it from 9/3-9/5, but due to Labor Day/Saturday check-in, it wasn't happening. Bid in $5 increments all the way from $100-170 with no luck. Split it to just 9/4-9/5 and bid 125, 130, 135 and 140. Won at $140, and I'm still working on the 9/3-9/4. Hotwire shows a 4.5 star Near Strip East on 9/3 for $81 that I might take, don't know which hotel it is though.
  16. Bid $35 on my first bid, I overbid! I needed the hotel for tonight, and I wanted to make sure I got it, so I bid a little more than I should have. Probably could have gotten lower 30's, but I only had one rebid in this area. Not bad though.
  17. Not much bid history in Provo-Orem, and no re-bids, so I went more conservative and got $39 on my first bid. Someone has gotten $35 on this one in the past. Expedia lists it at $79 Happy bidding!
  18. Bid some about 10 days ago, but didn't have much luck. Price was still a little high this time, but it is Valentine's weekend, which may have something to do with it. First Bid $48- SLC Downtown rejected Second Bid $53- added an area for a free rebid, rejected Third Bid $57- Added an area, Accepted Nice hotel, downtown SLC, goes for $107 on Expedia. Not bad :)
  19. Sorry for the long response. Yes this was my first bid. Looks like I should have started lower! I guessed $32 by judging from past won bids. Thanks, Brady
  20. 2.5* Layton Courtyard by Marriott Layton, $32 Expedia says its a 3* and had it listed at $79 a night. Got 3 rooms from 1/7/05-1/9/05 at $32 each per night Courtyard By Marriott Layton 1803 Woodland Park Drive Layton, Utah 84041 Gotta love it
