  1. Hi all, I have been successful in getting the Singapore Conrad thru Priceline at $79/night from the 25th Feb to the 1st March as I had no luck going the full period through to the 3rd of March so I decided to split the dates. However, it seems even bidding up to $100/night gets me no success for the 1st to the 3rd of March. Checking the hotel direct rates, it seems the rate jumps from circa S$200/night to S$300+ for those dates. Does anyone local know if there is a big event or something going on during this time to justify the price hike? Thanks!
  2. Yeah I was going to just try $80 for my next bid, but then thought what the hell I'll give $79 a shot and it worked :).. btw have many been successful getting weekday rates around the $80 mark? I just tried up to $99 to book the following 1st to 3rd of march for the city hall/marina area with no luck :) it seems the cheapest rate (advanced payment/no changes, etc) directly from the hotel's site for those days is SGD$280 about SGD$70 more than the weekend rate. Do weekdays usually come at this premium?
  3. Hi all, just updating with my win today, I had been trying to bid for the period 26th Feb to 3rd March for the past few weeks from $75 to $95 with no success. Decided to split my dates as I noticed the monday to wednesday were slightly more at the conrad. Rejected $75, $77 bids, then success on $79. Now I just need to sort out a hotel for the 1st to the 3rd! :)
