  1. Amenities were: Free Internet Indoor pool(s) Smoke-free rooms Fitness center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business center Internet access Accessibility: No way to copy these from the confirmation page, but it listed 5 items. Anyway, I have seen this before that I have listed what was shown in listing for amenities and accessibility, then get a message from you saying you believe there are more. Well what you see after booking isn't always the same as while booking. So I did the search again and this is what is shown: Complimentary Free Internet Amenities Business center, Fitness center, Indoor pool(s)Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Smoke-free rooms Accessibility Accessible for visually impaired Anyway very happy with this deal for a same day purchase/stay.
  2. I used the betterbidding link to HOTWIRE. I thought I had figured out a different hotel, and never considered it might be the one I got. Actually, based on the fact I have a Marriott Premiere Credit Card, I missed out on lots of points, so it was ultimately more money than booking direct. I have used Hotwire many times and always got a much better deal, so I will continue to use it.
  3. Free Internet Indoor pool(s) Pool(s) Business center Internet access Price $98, total with taxes and fees is $128.17 Not a deal at all, Marriott website is quoting $109 for a king room, with taxes would have been $128.58. Saved 41 cents and it can't be cancelled. Live and learn as they say.
  4. I double checked and that is all the amenities that they list. NOTE- I grouped the 3 free items together, free breakfast, parking and internet. It was a very nice property, but limited in the "suite" amenities. It did have a small living area, but not a kitchen. Had a small sink and small fridge, but no microwave or stove etc. It was a great breakfast and a nice place. Great area, with close bus to NYC and lots of restaurants nearby.
  5. I kept looking every day and was never comfortable with any of the Hotwire options showing for our travel dates. Then, 5 days before our trip this option appeared. It has a 90% approval rating, described as an "all suites hotel" with the following amenities: FREE- Breakfast, parking, internet Pet friendly smoke free fitness center business center internet access It also showed a "Love It" icon next to the listing. The total after all the fees and taxes for 2 nights was $286.32. I am very happy with this win.
  6. Saw a 4 star Midtown Hotel on Hotwire for $95, so I bid $90 on Priceline and got this on first bid. Can't believe it would be much lower, but I'll never know!
  7. Got the 4 Star Trinity Capital Hotel for $98 per night per room. Total $196 Taxes and fees $34.45 Grand total for 2 rooms $230.45 Amenities were Free internet and Restaurants Trip Advisor 4 of 5 stars 85% recommended Turns out the price is the same as offered by many vendors on Trip Advisor, for the same dates. So we are disappointed it wasn't a deal. First time we have used Hot.Wire for a hotel in Europe. Not sure we will again if it really isn't a deal. Would much rather know we are staying in a smoke free property, exact location etc., etc.
  8. Also: Business center Pet friendly Fitness center internet access
  9. Found this while looking for a room near Cherry Hill, NJ, this probably comes up in the Philadelphia search also. 95% recommended Free breakfast Free parking
  10. Needed a room same day, so only one bid, that was accepted. Hate the taxes & fees, as always. Bid $72 taxes $10.27 fees $9.13 total $91.40
  11. Started with just Burlington, rejected at $50, rebid with Williston at $51. Very happy with this deal. Total with tax is $64 Marriott website quotes lowest rate of $119.
  12. Just a follow up. This was a great hotel, clean, updated, nice beds and a 100% smoke free property. One of the best deals I have ever gotten on priceline. Plus they treated me as a guest, accommodated our room requests and said thank you.
  13. Just a follow up. This hotel is horrible, more like a 1 star. Dirty, old, wallpaper falling off the walls everywhere. Plus, they only sell smoking rooms via priceline. So BEWARE! But the good news is this is the first time I have ever felt as though I was burned on priceline. Then again, it was the only time I have ever bid on a 2 star hotel. Never again.
  14. Got the Holiday Inn Rockland for $53/nt for 2 nights, 2 rooms for July 29-31, 2010. Tried to get a 3 1/2 *for that price in all Boston zones, with no luck. Dropped down to a 3* started with favored area first, Needham-Dedham and was denied, added this zone and got it. I have 3 kids and one room just doesn't work anymore for the 5 of us. I love PRICELINE as now I can afford 2 rooms for the price of one retail. Lowest price I could find for this property was $129.99. Only downside is we still pack the aerobed, in case we end up with king bed rooms.
  15. Bid $45 for 2 star in SUNY Albany area, offered a rebid at $55 which got me the Best Western Sovereign Albany, on Western Ave. Booked 2 rooms.
  16. Won on first bid of $55. Hate it when that happens. :) But the best price I could find for that hotel was $149.
  17. Amenities shown are no smoking, comp. breakfast, fitness room, pool, business center, laundry, high speed internet access, golf nearby. Although not specified by Hotwire, the hotel has free parking.
  18. HOTWIRE had a $29/nt at a 3* hotel in Orlando, couldn't pass it up. Turns out it was Baymont Inn and Suites Celebration for Feb. 2nd to 5th. Reviews don't make it sound 3 star, but at the price with free parking, I will try it.
