  2. You were right! I took that express deal today and it's the Best Western Plus Kansas City Airport-KCI East. This will work great for us. Should I post this as a win on this forum? This is my first Express Deal. Used your links, as always. And I do post all my wins, but looking back, it's been a couple years since I pricelined MCI and got that $45 Hilton. Time flies...
  3. Yes - High-speed internet access was there - must've missed that - sorry! And I just noticed a '1' by my signon and found this message. I didn't notice it until today.
  4. I can usually priceline for the Kansas City MCI airport area and get a 3.5* for $45 but I've gone up to $60 now with no luck. (For 8/15-8/18) Priceline is showing a PRICELINE EXPRESS Deal for a 2.5* for $43 with an 8.0 rating (guest favorite!) and the following amenities - free breakfast, free internet, indoor or outdoor pool, free parking, business center and fitness center. Is there a way to make an educated guess as to what motel this would be? Thanks for any help you can give.
  5. Bid for a 3.5* in Southern Hills. At $44 Priceline said $54 would win. Kept adding $1 and free rebid zones and won at $47. Used your PRICELINE links and Priceline coupon code SUMMER. Hello Doubletree and chocolate chip cookies! $94.00 - 2 nights at $47 $21.24 - taxes and fees -$4.70 - coupon 110.54 - total
  6. Amenites: Free Breakfast Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities (self-service) with taxes and fees $85.15. Had bid on priceline up to $65 for a 2.5* so took this on Hotwire. Used your HOTWIRE links. Thanks!
  7. Bid 4 times for a 4* on the Plaza, adding in free zones. Bid $65, $70, $75 & won at $80. 160.00 - $80 x 2 nights 33.36 - taxes and fees 193.36 - total I see there's a charge for parking $11/day. Area is just what we wanted. Used your PRICELINE links to bid. Thanks!

  9. Hi KABhotel - I just recently discovered and stayed in this hotel and really liked it - great rooms and hot breakfast. I hope you had a great experience too. Just in case you want to get it on Priceline - It's in the "Central" area in Springfield on Priceline and I believe it's the only 3.5* hotel in that area. And the Central region is the only one with a 3.5* option so that gives you 4 tries on Priceline each day! Reina
  10. Bidding on a 3.5* I had 3 free rebids so bid $40, $42, $44, and won at $46. Hotel looks great with free hot breakfast - rare for a 3.5*! 46.00 - bid 14.19 - taxes and fees 60.19 - total
  11. Got this for a friend going to Independence KS. 2 stars is the max there and still 2 free rebids! 1st day bid 25/30/35 - no luck 2nd day bid 38/41/44 - no luck 3rd day bid 46 - Priceline said 54 would win. Added zone and bid 48 and won. $48.00 - bid $14.26 - taxes and fees $62.26 - total Used your PRICELINE links. Just wondering - in looking online I saw that Super 8 had availability only for rooms with 1 queen bed. I thought PRICELINE always gave you two beds or a king. Do you know? Thanks!
  12. Needed a last minute room for the same evening, so bid $45 for 2.5* in this area and got it right off. Probably could have bid better given more time, but this worked out great for us. 45.00 - room 13.47 - taxes and fees 58.47 - total
  13. I bid for a 3* in Carmel for 3 days, 2 bids each day with one free rebid zone of the Speedway. I bid $37 and $40, then $45 and $49, then bid $53 and Priceline said $63 would win. Added Speedway and bid $55 and won. This will work great for us - attending classes for 8 days that are only 7 minutes away from this hotel. I always wonder how early to bid. Perhaps I could have gotten a better deal if I'd waited a couple weeks, but I feel better knowing it's a done deal! Hotwire showed a 3* for $61 so I beat that, and aren't Hotwire stars always a bit inflated? 440.00 - 8 nights at $55 85.20 - taxes and fees 525.20 - total Used your PRICELINE links - thanks!
  14. I think I bid $35, lost with priceline suggesting I'd win for about $10 more, then added free rebid zone and bid $40 and won. $40.00 - bid $13.47 - taxes and fees $53.47 - total Was a nice quiet place for us before catching a plane in the morning. Recently remodeled.
  15. After much researching on this site, I used your PRICELINE link and bid $35 and 3* for South Newport News. Priceline said to up to $41 and it would win. I added North Newport News (free rebid for 3*) and bid $37 and won. We are flying into Norfolk, spending the night and going to Williamsburg before seeing family in Suffolk, so this works great for us. Thanks again BetterBidding and PRICELINE! 37.00 bid 74.00 (2 rooms) 17.98 taxes and fees 91.98 total
  16. Bid $40 and was rejected and Priceline countered with $51. Added free re-bid zone and bid $45 - accepted $135.00 - 3 nights at $45 $27.42 - taxes and fees $162.42 - total Used your PRICELINE links as always!
  17. Bid $40 and got counteroffer from Priceline of $55. Next night bid $47 and won. $94.00 - $47 x 2 nights $21.18 - taxes and fees $115.18 - total
  18. Tried bidding for several days off and on, bumping it by $1 a day. Bid $12 today and priceline countered with $15 so I took it. Hotwire showed $14.95 but their total was slightly higher than mine after taxes and fees. $90.00 - 6 days of $15 $63.81 - taxes and fees $153.81 - total Is there a better way to get into Priceline's name your own price for cars from your site? I just clicked on the priceline logo and then switched to cars. Hope that's giving you all some credit!
  19. Started bidding for a 3.5* at $30 and kept going up by $5 using rebid zones. We will be traveling back from Zion and need a place to crash before an early flight out the next day. PS - Love the new BiddingHelper.com tool! $45 bid $13 tax and fees $58 total
  20. Used your links and bid $40 and lost and then bid $45 the next day. With that bid Priceline said I could win at $55. I declined and bid $48 the next day and won. I noticed that this La Quinta has gained a 1/2 star. $48.00 - bid $13.87 - taxes and fees $61.87 - total
  21. First bid for 2 nights, Sunday and Monday night, with no success. I found that Monday night prices were much higher and later our front desk clerk said that many Wal-Mart execs were coming into the hotel on Monday. Then bid for Sunday night only for 3* in the Bentonville-Rogers area. Bid $43. Priceline said $52 would win. Added a rebid zone and bid $26 and won. I think this is a new hotel for your list. I've never won it in this area before. This worked out great for our plans as we were visiting the new Crystal Bridges Museum in Bentonville and this hotel is very close. $46.00 - bid $13.59 - taxes and fees $59.59 - total
  22. I had $30 bonus cash from Priceline for a 7 day rental, so Priceline gave me $4.29 per day. I started at $10 and upped it $1 every day until I won at my bid of $16 (plus the $4.29.) Subtotal $112 (7 days x $16) $58.08 taxes and fees Total - $170.08 Hotwire was showing $18.95/day for a total of $190.62, and the best deal I could find elsewhere was $219.46. Used your PRICELINE link - thanks!
  23. Wanted a cheap place to sleep for one night with a breakfast included in the airport area, so was bidding on a 2*. I bid on successive nights, $35, $40 (Priceline countered with $48 and I declined), won at $42. I was hoping for La Quinta but got Ramada Limited. Room Subtotal: $42.00 Taxes & Fees: $13.03 Total Charged to Card: $55.03 I checked Ramada Limited online - right now they have a 21 day prepaid advance rate for 62.51 tax included - so I saved about $7.50! I think it's interesting that the lower star hotels often give you internet, free breakfast, frig, and microwave - maybe to make up for the icky bedspreads and plastic cups! Still love priceline and betterbidding! Thanks!
  24. Wow! Bid $15 on first try for this trip and got it. $60.00 - $15 * 4 days $44.82 - taxes and fees $104.82 - total
  25. Used $5/day bonus cash, so bid $21 and won. (Had tried $15 yesterday and didn't win.) Total for 4 days with bonus cash was $84.00 + $54.74 taxes and fees = $138.74 total Less than anything else I could find online!
