  1. Hm, so a number of good options. The Fairmont also has good rack rates (I'm thinking about getting an upgraded room). If I do that, do you have a link I can use to get you a little credit?
  2. Sorry: I swear I had pasted in the amenities list for the 5* in MM/RN, but I must have somehow deleted it! Here it is: Free Internet, Indoor pool(s), Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Spa services Also: a quick look at the 4.5*s made me think one of the two showing up in the Millennium Park neighborhood could be the Fairmont. Does that seem right? $106, Pet friendly, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Tennis nearby, Spa services, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in shower
  3. 3/2/2016 - 3/6 $195 I searched for two adults and one child. Is it the Langham? Also: do you see any particularly attractive 4.5* hotels either in River North or in the Loop or Downtown/Millennium? (This is supposed to be a special trip, so I will spring for the Langham, but just wondering if there's a top-choice alternative for somewhat less money.) Thanks guys! (Searched with your Bidding Helper, will book with it too.)
  4. It was the Hilton Everything else is up near $200/night, even the 3.5*s, so this looked like the best deal. Probably would have booked the Sheraton too, but the Hilton is a nicer hotel so I thought it was an easy call. Thanks, used your HOTWIRE link to book it!
  5. 10/30 - 11/1, $113 in the Old City/Penn's Landing district of Philadelphia. Free Internet, Pet friendly, Indoor pool(s), Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking I think Sheraton or Hilton, but is there any clue which of them it is? Thanks!
  6. Checked again this morning and found these amenities on a 4* for $73: Pet friendly, Airport shuttle, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access The price had dropped, and the Pet Friendly amenity made me think the Westin was most likely, so I pulled the trigger. (Of the three likely 4*s, I prefer the Westin.) Used the Betterbidding BiddingHelper.com link to book it! Hotels are pretty cheap for this date in the DCA area, but the Westin rack rate is $129, so I'm quite pleased with the deal.
  7. The Westin seems to be on offer at 4.5*, $180 on Hot.wire. It's a few blocks closer to the Boston Public Garden/Common than the Sheraton (also a much nicer hotel with arguably the best views in the city). I would grab it, because your dates look *very* expensive, even higher than the high rates Boston has seen most of the summer. There is a 4* in Copley Sq. listed on Hot.wire for over $400!
  8. I *just* posted this on the Hotwire side. I am looking for the same weekend, and also in Copley Sq. I got the Westin for $176 for the first night, and I can extend it one night for $225 (not sure whether I'm going to do the extension). Saturday night is quite a bit more expensive than Friday night, for some reason. So, you could get the Westin for an average of $200/night if you want. I have not stayed at the Loews, but I really like the Westin. Oh, and I was booking for 2 adults/1 child to be sure of two beds. I think it's a few bucks cheaper if you just search for 2 adults. Oh -- and enjoy the weekend!
  9. Would have liked to get Saturday night too but the prices jumped a lot for the second day. I might possibly extend it for $225, but haven't decided that yet. Anyway, this was a very good deal, in my opinion, because the Westin is a much nicer hotel than any of the others I could ID under $200. I did use your HOTWIRE link: Indoor pool(s) Smoke-free Fitness center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Laundry Internet access Spa
  10. I needed to extend this stay for another day. Hot.wire did offer me the extension option, but the price was $119. Instead I just booked another day (night of 7/7) at what was pretty obviously the Club Quarters, using a new search, and got it for $79. The CQ said I would have to check out and then immediately check back in but I could keep the room, so that's fine. I did use your HOTWIRE link again and the amenities were exactly the same as for my first booking: Free Internet, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Accessible path of travel, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in shower. I assume this info should go in the same thread, right? It's counts as the same stay, for your purposes? Although, now the info in the sub-header is wrong -- should I edit that?
  11. The 4* was the Club Quarters, bumped up from 3.5*. I thought it was the Westin, but this will be fine. It was clearly the best value on the board, so I just decided to grab it to be sure I didn't lose it. Free internet and some other conveniences compensate for maybe a slightly less upscale hotel. I did use your HOTWIRE link, of course!
  12. Hi, Looking at a few options. (1) Old/Penns $119 4* FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Pet friendly, Indoor pool(s), Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking (2) Old/Penns $118 4.5* FULL AMENITIES: Pet friendly, Boutique hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access Maybe the Monaco has earned another half star? (3) Rittenhouse $77 4* FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Accessible path of travel, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in shower (4) Rittenhouse $122 4.5* FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Pet friendly, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in shower The main purpose of the trip is to be in the Franklin Square area, so Old City is a slightly better location, but the extra walk isn't too big a deal. Also, the night of the 5th looks substantially cheaper, wondering if I'd save much of anything by splitting. Thanks for your help!
  13. I wonder if it's the XV Beacon. Has that ever been reported as a Hot.wire win? XV Beacon is a one-of-a-kind hotel, quite beautiful, but some of the rooms are surprisingly (for such an expensive place) small. Others are huge, but with an opaque win you'd be more likely to get one of the small ones.
  14. Just a quick reply on this specifically. The Common is in (unsurprisingly!) the Common/Theater district. Cheers (the Bull and Finch) is also in that region but right next to Back Bay. Harvard is across the river but easy to access by the T. Fenway is in Kenmore Square but that's not a great hotel area; it's close to the Copley/Back Bay neighborhood. On the whole any of these would be central and easy to sightsee from: Downtown/Financial, Common/Theater, Copley/Back Bay, Faneuil/North End. The Financial district is pretty empty at night. I think Aaron's suggestion of the Copley area hotels is a good one. I've stayed at the Westin and the Hilton. The Westin is definitely a better deal. The Park Plaza is a lovely old building in a great location, but the rooms are very small. I would grab the Westin.
  15. Thanks. I can get the Hilton or Hyatt for $89 rack rate, so with the extra Hotwire fees that's only a couple of bucks more. I think I'd buy from Hotwire if I was fairly confident it was the Westin, but I'll use your links to get the Hyatt if I go that route. I have so much time, though, I think I'll just wait a while and see if a better-looking deal shows up. (I have a late DCA arrival, so Crystal City is my only target.)
  16. 4* $82 for the night of 11/13/15 FULL AMENITIES: Airport shuttle, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access The thing is, rack rates are not much higher, esp. since I don't have to add "fees". Hm, can't decide. Is there a pretty definite ID for this one?
  17. It was indeed the Westin, thanks. Good deal -- this seems to be a fairly expensive weekend, with everything else 3.5* and up at least $131. Booked through your Hotwire link, of course.
  18. Yep, Hot.wire did give me a credit, which means the hotel gave it to Hotwire. Hotwire added a $25 credit, too. So, I'm quite satisfied with the way this worked out. It's not what I wanted to book, but heck, I definitely would have taken the Crowne Plaza for free instead of the Renaissance for $82!
  19. One person, 6/18 - 6/20, $105/night, 4* When I click through 'Continue' I see: Smoke Free Business Restaurant Fitness Internet and Accessibility: Hearing In-room Bathroom Also it shows 4.0 TripAdvisor. Radisson Blu Warwick? Thanks!
  20. I thought it was probably the Hyatt Regency and I didn't want to wait since it was significantly lower than any of the alternatives -- hard to beat $64 (it went up a buck since I first looked). Used your HOTWIRE link to buy it.
  21. For this stay (in the northern suburbs of Chicago), I did arrive fairly late -- about 11PM -- and was told they had unfortunately run out of rooms. They'd had some problems and had to take a few rooms "off line", was how she'd put it. So they were going to walk me (and my wife and adult son) to the Marriott Courtyard, but I declined, on the grounds that I'd paid for the Renaissance and the Courtyard was definitely a couple of steps down. (I was polite, but firm.) Eventually they paid for a nearby Crowne Plaza, and said they would have Hotwire refund my money too. I'll be interested to see if they do it, and if not what I might be able to do to encourage them!
  22. Oh, jeez, sorry. It's the night of May 26th. Yes, the point is to stay at ORD that night, not the city.
  23. $63 Free Internet, Airport shuttle, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower Looks like a couple of other people have spotted this too. None of the 4* have free internet in your listings, so presumably one of them has just added it. Thanks!
  24. It was indeed the Langham. :D I kind of think the best deals were the Monaco or Wyndham, but I rarely get to try a genuine 5* for under $200. Bought it through your Bidding.Helper page. Thanks for the help!
  25. I see a new 5* in River North: $185 FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Indoor pool(s), Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Spa services. Does that look like the Langham? I might splurge on that!
