I thought this was a good price for a nice hotel. I used the HOTWIRE link from betterbidding.

I bid $109 straight out based on what others reported, I probably could have saved a few bucks but I wanted this hotel. I used the PRICELINE link from betterbidding.com.

Bid a 4* Detroit Airport Hotel but receive 3.5* Hotel I used the betterbidding links to bid a 4* hotel at the Detroit Metro Airport from December 1 to December 2. When I got to the confirmation page, I was informed that I was "upgraded" to a 3.5* hotel. I am really upset and wonder what recourse I have because their system screwed me. I know that I bid 4* because that I what I normally bid.

That was my first bid and I probably should have bid lower first but whatever.

4* San Diego (Coronado), Unsuccessful ... 11/25/10 - 11/26/10 Started at $70. Rebid with 13 rebid zones to $83 unsuccesful. I used betterbidding.com PRICELINE link.

Used betterbidding.com link to PRICELINE. Trying for the Sheraton in Carlsbad. Started at $75 and added rebid zones until I got to $80.

This property makes me afraid to bid Resort Scottsdale anymore.

I started at $55 and added all 10 non-4* zones until I got to $90. Probably a little high but I think it is okay for a one-day advance purchase.

Targeting this property for the lazy river. Started at $60 per night 4* or better in North Scottsdale. Added re-bid zones @ $3 each time until I got this property for $81 per night. Used PRICELINE link on the betterbidding.com site.

Thought I would do a little stay-cation for the family this weekend. First bid: Phoenix North Resort $60. Second bid: Phoenix North Resort & Scottsdale Resort: $65 I used the PRICELINE link on BetterBidding. Go Blue!

I'm sure that I could have done better but here's what I did. Bid $40 per room for North County Coastal (NCC). Bid $45 per room for NCC and then Del Mar - Rancho Santa Fe (DMRSF). Waited 24 hours. Bid $48 per room for NCC. Bid $50 per room for NCC and Escondido. Bid $55 per room for NCC, Escondido and DMRSF accepted by Hilton San Diego/Del Mar. So I'm all in for $388.44 for 2 rooms for 3 nights versus the $524 I was going to spend to be further away from the beach and Legoland. I did use the PRICELINE link at the top of the page. I probably could have tried harder for NCC using the 9-rebid zones but I think I did okay since my goal was to be closer and spend less. I called the hotel after winning to request that one of the rooms have 2 beds so we'll see how that goes.

Hi, I need to get a 3* minimum for April 2-5 near Legoland for 4 adults and 3 children. I already have already held 2 rooms at the Doubletree Golf Resort San Deigo for an average of $83 per room per night as a fall back position. My goal is to be closer to Legoland in a similar or better quality hotel for less. North County Coastal Del Mar - Rancho Santa Fe San Diego Coastal --- may be okay if it is nice (the 4* stuff might be doable for a good price.) Escondido - Vista --- would be doable but not preferable. Do I stand a chance of improving my situation through betterbidding? If so, what type of bidding strategy is recommended with the focus being on convenience to Legoland. thank you for a great site. I use the PRICELINE links when I book.
