  1. Started at $60, based on HOTWIRE rate of $91, and went up in $5 increments, accepted at $85. I was on my last bid before using Hotwire. Property has good to great reviews so I'm looking forward to a pleasant stay at a good rate while I'm in the area to play golf in a memorial outing with a longtime buddy.

  3. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough for staying overnight after attending a Cardinals game, especially an afternoon one. My friend and I drove through all the game day traffic, parked in the hotel parking lot for $20 then walked across the street to the stadium as there were only 5 minutes until the first pitch. At the end of the game we walked back to my vehicle to get our luggage and checked into the hotel. Firteen minutes later we enjoyed a complimentary drink in the hotel bar along with plenty of Cardinals fans who were enjoying the post game atmosphere. We walked to dinner that evening to a Peruvian restaurant that was quite enjoyable for both the food and the ambiance. In the morning we walked to the Gateway Arch and strolled along the riverfront for a couple of miles. Then we enjoyed breakfast in a downtown cafe. This was a very relaxing and enjoyable trip, with the location, quality and value of the hotel being a significant factor. 4. Very convenient and a great price for out of towners catching an afternoon Cardinals game with some St Louis nightlife.
  5. I really wanted a 3.5* at the airport, expecting to get it for around $55 based on bookings reported in this priceline forum, and started at $40, going up in $2 increments except on my last bid when I was pretty sure I would got the Franklin/Cool Springs area so I increased my final bid by $1. This tells me that there can be better rates available when the hotel has a lower booked occupancy a few days out and as they get closer to the date and have reached some predetermined metric they increase the price they will accept.
  6. Used the forum PRICELINE link. Initial bid of $80 for 3.5* in Savannah (Historic District) accepted after bidding for resort then 4* before that. $191.44 for 2 nights after taxes and fees. Expedia rate for this hotel on the same nights is $214 per night which includes free parking.
  7. 1st bid, on Nov 25, was $60 for 3.5 star - declined I won a bid on PRICELINE for the above hotel and it is rated as a 3 star now.
