OK, this win is a bit more complicated. After using BetterBidding's PRICELINE link to win the Sirtaj Hotel for the above price, I did a bit of research on the hotel as I had not heard of it. It had great reviews on TripAdvisor, so that was reassuring. Then I went directly to the hotel's website and saw it had 18% off advanced purchase special. I entered my dates & found the hotel's price was $50.18 AUD less than Priceline's. So I lodged a Best Price Guarantee with Priceline over live chat. The rep was able to verify the lower price & issue me a refund of $50.18 AUD as well a 20% off coupon code for a future Priceline Express Deal booking. It pays to be pedantic! :-)

Another win to report to the board. Was on a tight budget, so I settled for a 4 star...Wished I had stuck with 5 star! It was a refurbished motel, at best a 3 star, with paper thin walls. Oh well, lesson learned. I used your PRICELINE link to bid.

Hi noodles81, I actually started bidding @ $105, then increased my bid by $10 over the course of 3 days. When I reached $125, I received a counter-offer of $160 - which I declined - so I knew I was close to getting a bid accepted. Continued with my bidding strategy & got the bid of $135 accepted on the 4th day of bidding. For your own trip, I would suggest you start a new post seeking help/advice so the more experienced members of the board can give you a bidding strategy specifically tailored for your trip.
