Bid up to $89 for four star hotel in downtown San Francisco, no luck. Went back and re-bid adding SFO and started bidding at $49 for a four star hotel, my previous bid was $67 SFO -- then went as high as $71 and scored that.
I remember a couple of years ago, I could have stayed downtown for that price... oh well. Hotel is #7 out of 12 in Burlingame on another travel site.
You are going to enjoy the Hyatt. It's a new hotel, compared to the other two which are several decades old. I've been to both the Westin and Sheraton and the Hyatt is the way to go if I was paying to stay in Seattle. The Hyatt or Vintage Park.
Bid $59 for 4* San Diego (Downtown and Harbor Island) (denied)
Added 4* San Diego (Mission Valley) and bid $61 (denied)
Added 4* San Diego (La Mesa) and bid $65 (win)
Better than sleeping in the car before driving to Los Angeles on the 4th.
Still can't figure out how to get up to 40% off on car rentals at Priceline. I usually end up getting a better deal on Sidestep for rental cars.
Don't you hate it when you accidentally leave the insurance box checked? (Or accidentally check it.) That's the first time I've done that. Overpaid $5 a night thanks to that...
Anyways, my room was $91 a night (not including the $5 per night insurance)
I was hoping for the Hyatt Century Plaza.
Started with a $89 bid on Bevery Hills-West Hollywood
Upped to $91 and added Brentwood-Westwood and got the Hotel Palomar, which I'm happy about because all Kimpton properties I've stayed in are exceptional.
