1. Started at $80 and on the second bid got it. I was surprised I got the Marriott as it was not listed (I'll report it) on the better bidding site. I linked to PRICELINE through the better bidding site.
2. Must be University graduations this week as it was very difficult to get a great price. Tried 4 star hotels first starting at $80 and ran out of re-bids at $140. Tried 3 1/2 star starting at $120 and increased by $5 until bid accepted. The PRICELINE EXPRESS price for what I believe would be the same hotel in this zone was $172. Of course I started through the PRICELINE link at better bidding...thank you again!
3. You're right...on the betterbidding listing it is under Burlington. In the Priceline confirmation it is South Burlington. Thanks
4. Started bidding at $85 added other zones and increased by $5 until offer accepted at $125/$150 with taxes and fees. This is $29 lower than the Hilton's website price. Linked to PRICELINE through the betterbidding site.
5. Wanted downtown Burlington. Started at $50 and got a return offer of $67. Included Montpelier zone and increased bid to $57,for 3 star, refused. Added South Burlington which was listed on the Priceline bid site as a 2 1/2 star zone, bid $62 for 3 star. I was surprised when I got South Burlington versus Burlington I see that Priceline now have 7 zones for this area versus 5 zones listed on Better Bidding. It worked out okay as my travelling companions enjoyed the mall right across the road.
6. Started at $69. Increased to $75 and continued to increase by $5 by adding other zones. (Brampton, Burlington, D. Valley, Miss.) Pretty good price considering its March break. Linked to PRICELINE through Better Bidding....thank you
7. Started bidding at $53, then added zones and bid $55 then $60. Waited 24 hours then bid $65 which was accepted. With taxes and fees cost was $78.63 per night per room versus the hotels website rate of $109 plus taxes. Clicked through to PRICELINE from the better bidding site....thanks again
8. Having reviewed the forum I had expected to get the Sheraton Liberator which was the only 4* listed under Priceline in Buenos Aries. So the Marriott is a new hotel for Priceline in BA, services include: high speed internet, business and fitness center, outdoor pool. Started bidding at $50 and went up in $5 increments. I also added 3 1/2* as no hotels had been previously been listed in the summary. Knowing that this is a peak time of year I was willing to pay a little more an finally got it at $120. It was a nice surprise as I am staying at the same hotel in February using my Marriott points. I clicked through from the better bidding PRICELINE link each time to do my bidding...thanks BB
9. Accepted $60 plus $15.63 taxes fees for Sept 27-28th. First bid of $55 refused, priceline countered with a $70 offer. I added zone 2 and increased my offer to $60. Used the better bidding PRICELINE link....cheers
10. Forgot to mention the ammentities which include restaurant, business center and high speed internet access. Great value for this time of year in Ottawa.
11. I just booked through the HOTWIRE link, 5 nights, July 6th to 11th and got the Quality Hotel downtown Ottawa for $55 a night.
12. I just tried to book in Montreal for Wednesday Nov. 18th and ended up with the Hyatt at $75 after starting at $60 and moving up by $5 per try. I guess it's the time of the week....so $70 is spot on.
