  1. A combination of events: Fashion Night Out Sept 8 Marc Anthony Sept 9 Mets vs Cubs Sept 9 10 11 US Open Finals Sept 10 and 11 Sept 11 Anniversary I tracked prices for 2 weeks for these exact dates. Seems like all areas of town have been increasing. I had to settle for a priceline win in Jersey City. Good luck!
  2. Hotel rates in NYC are high due to Fashion Night Out and the 9/11 Anniversary. Tried 3* in Chelsea, C.I., and Downtown up to 145. No wins Tried 4* in All NYC regions except Brooklyn, Central Park, UES, and UWS up to 175. No wins. Hotwire was showing the Westin (exact amenities listed here) for $154/night total $540 Bid on Priceline started at 77 night for 4* and increased by $10 each time i added a zone. 127 was accepted. After bonus cash of $6 a night and Taxes and fees, came out to $454 total. Really wanted to try W Hoboken, but am happy with price I paid. Stayed here a couple of times before and large rooms 1 block to PATH, and decent indoor pool are pluses. Used Priceline box in top right. Thanks.
  3. Noticed a 102 Price on Hotwire Tried priceline up to $99. Failed. Purchased. Westin. Smoke Free, Pool, Restaurant. Fitness. High Speed Internet. Business Center. Something else I noticed. If I searched for Jersey City, NJ , price was 104 a night. When I changed it to New York, NY and checked the Hoboken box, Price was 102. Had exact same amenities. Also. When I used my other computer to test out the numbers, it listed the same amenities and hotel for $99 for the NY method and 101 for the Jersey Method. Looking forward to trip! Used your HOTWIRE box on top left to start my searches.

Bid 109 (+UES) and got Grand Hyatt.
