  1. Hi Guys, For all the help everyone has given on here, i hope this helps. A trusted friend said he bid 5* NYOP in Amsterdam, zone 2 & a bid for Akura on ferdinand bolstraat was accepted.I am trying to find out what he paid & will report back once I find out. I dont know if this information is new to this board, but I couldnt see it, so sorry if it isnt anything spectaculer. Thanks.
  2. Hi Guys, Looking to book for 2 rooms - it seems harder to win on NYOP at the rates im used to.Any reason do you think? Thanks
  3. Update - Ive given up - simply cannot get a bid accepted in Amsterdam!! I think the prices have gone up, perhaps due to the time of year?...can anyone verify if they have been getting 4* Museum Qtr hotels recently & at what bid?? thx
  4. *Update* Still no luck - Is anyone else experiencing problems - getting the usual $80-$85/4* accepted bids in Amsterdam April/May time? Thanks for your continued feedback everyone.
  5. Thank you for everyones comments - It must be Mika, although can't think why!! - Cheers & I will continue to bid using the PRICELINE link.
  6. Hi folks, Please furnish me with some of your wisdom here, I'd really welcome some assistance?! I'm trying to get a 4* in Amsterdam (Museum Quarter) on 7th May 2010 for four nights and am having zero luck. I've bid (per night) $84 $88 $90
  7. Hi Guys, (Sorry posted this in the wrong forum, earlier today) Does anyone know if it makes any difference to your bids with NYOP - if a credit over a debit card is chosen for the payment method? Its just that credit cards have a much higher processing fee than a debit card & wonder if it has any influence on the accepted bid, depending on what type of card you use?? Reason I say this is that am now using credit card & not debit card anymore & notice it is edging up my bids to what I am used to..wondering if it is coincidence or not?! All feedback welcomed...thx

  10. Hi, I have been trying the last 3 days for a 4* in the city & museum quarter (also using free rebids!) Having no luck at all,1st bid $76 then day 2 $78 then thought id get at $83 a night (today) & all got refused!...am I missing something? is it some important weekend, have amsterdam prices gone up on PL??? Strange as I have got plenty of $75-$80 wins in the past here! All comments/thoughts appreciated!
  11. Hi guys, I have bid 30 days in advance, no problems, with NYOP hotels on priceline...(I posted my bid info on another post) But can anyone please advise if NYOP hotels can be booked say 3 months /6 months in advance for instance, or is there a general cut off point? Thanks in advance.. DamBuster
  12. Hi, Can anyone please advise this for an Amsterdam 4* on NYOP? 1) Are Fridays, Saturday & Sundays generally the same price or are higher bids required for these days of week? 2) Xmas & New year 09- again are bids more likely to accepted, only if higher amounts are bid (I fear that one may be a silly question, but just checking?!)..does anyone have any data or advice from booking xmas/new year 2008/09 perhaps? Thanks guys, DamBuster
  13. Hi, Can I ask if Hotwire can be booked via this site outside of the USA/Canada? I'm based in England, UK. Thanks...
  14. Thanks for that Romelle. Just a suggestion, why don't the webmasters simply add another box next to the winning bid amount? so that when people post thier wins, they remember to include this information. I think that would benefit everyone, as then the true cost can be compared? Anyone agree or is just it me again being pedantic again! :) Cheers all.
  15. Hi Guys, I'm new to betterbidding & think this is a great website.Thank you.I will definitely be using in future. Could I ask you if i'm missing something on the site though? It's just I find it a littled unclear if the winning bids that are posted by people include or exclude Priceline taxes & fees?..Is there anyway for posters to be able to state this information? The reason I say this is the taxes represent a significant additional % of the bid & I think this bit of information would be useful (to save constantly underbidding for instance). Regards & thanks, Dambuster
  16. Hi June, I'm also new to this site & find it a great resource. Could I please ask you, did your $82 winning bid include or exclude the priceline fee/taxes? Many thanks... DamBuster
  17. Hi all, Just made my first winning bid ever on P/L NYOP (see my Amsterdam post) & love this forum already even though im a newbie here. Could I pick someones brain please?! It's my parents 20th wedding anv in December 2009..Could I book a room on Priceline NYOP on their behalf, (i'm thinking as a present) or can i only book the room for myself as i'll obviously be paying using my credit card to make the booking? Any help on this matter greatly appreciated. Kind Regards, Dambuster
