  1. First bid of $45 was rejected and Priceline offered immediate rebid for $56. I added the Fridley region for a free rebid and got the room for $50 ($64.93 after fees and taxes). I needed to have an airport shuttle, and got it. Thanks!
  2. The list of Priceline hotels for St Cloud lists the 2.5* Country Inn and Suites as the highest star valued hotel, but when bidding on Priceline, I noticed there was a 3* option. After a bit more research on the Priceline website, I found that the Holiday Inn and Suites and Le St. Germain Suite Hotel are both listed as 3* hotels in St Cloud, MN. I decided to bid assuming I would get the less expensive Holiday Inn and Suites, and a $60 bid was accepted. Looks like it's a nice facility. I used the PRICELINE link to get started. Thanks!
  3. First bid of $65 was rejected. Added a zone that didn't include 3.5* (can't recall which one) and upped it to $70. Our room was on the 12th floor, just below the penthouse and it was not near the elevator. (I say that as a positive.) Room was clean, quiet, and had good water pressure. We had nice view of the highly manicured city of Alexandria, not a stray leaf or piece of trash in sight. The other side of the hotel overlooks the Potomac. The hotel is also a short walk from King Street, the main shopping and dining thoroughfare. There is a free trolley that runs up and down King Street from the river to a Metro stop and back. Even closer to the hotel is a great little Italian place called A La Lucia, and a nice breakfast and lunch place called Perk's Coffee Shop. I went for a run on the Mt. Vernon Trail which you can access a block from the hotel and leads up, down, and across the Potomac. The free airport shuttle left on the half hour for Reagan National Airport which also has a Metro stop. We had a great stay overall and it started with using the PRICELINE link.
  4. My first bid of $60 was accepted, to my surprise. Perhaps I should have started lower as there are other areas to add that do not have a 4 star option. I was wary of getting the Westin North Shore (which is a 4 star and in the same North Shore area) which would have been a little more out of the way. I needed a place between Lake Forest and Winnetka, so this should work great. I've stayed at the Renaissance before, but it's been a few years. I did use the PRICELINE link to start the process. $60 ... 01/08/11 - 01/10/11
  5. I bid 3 stars at $35 and got denied. I added Burnsville and rebid at $40 and got upgraded and accepted at the Hilton Minneapolis Bloomington which is 3.5 stars. Bloomington West - Mall Of America Area 3900 American Boulevard West Bloomington, Minnesota 55437 Your Offer Price: $40.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 2 Subtotal: $80.00 Taxes and Fees: $18.24 Total Charges*: $98.24 I used the PRICELINE link to get started.
  6. My first bid of $40 was accepted. 11/06/09 - 11/09/09. Taxes and fees work out to $48.04 per night. Used the PRICELINE link from here to start the process. Thanks!
