First bid of $65 was rejected. Added a zone that didn't include 3.5* (can't recall which one) and upped it to $70. Our room was on the 12th floor, just below the penthouse and it was not near the elevator. (I say that as a positive.) Room was clean, quiet, and had good water pressure. We had nice view of the highly manicured city of Alexandria, not a stray leaf or piece of trash in sight. The other side of the hotel overlooks the Potomac. The hotel is also a short walk from King Street, the main shopping and dining thoroughfare. There is a free trolley that runs up and down King Street from the river to a Metro stop and back. Even closer to the hotel is a great little Italian place called A La Lucia, and a nice breakfast and lunch place called Perk's Coffee Shop. I went for a run on the Mt. Vernon Trail which you can access a block from the hotel and leads up, down, and across the Potomac. The free airport shuttle left on the half hour for Reagan National Airport which also has a Metro stop. We had a great stay overall and it started with using the PRICELINE link.
