I think I would prefer to go through HOTWIRE as i was hoping to get breakfast included. I already have a reservation at Hotel Orion for 105 euro per night, which a friend recently stayed at and liked, but I was hoping to get an even better deal in perhaps a nicer hotel.

Aug 10-12 (2 nights), I see $119 per night 4* for Hotwire in Venice (not mestre or lido). Any ideas on which hotel this is?

I'm looking to book a 4 or 5* in Venice on Priceline for Aug 10-12. Anyone had any luck? How low can I bid? I want to be in Venice, not Mestre.

I am also trying to bid on flights from naples to frankfurt...is there a priceline that is europe based that would allow me to bid within europe?

I tried to bid twice on a trip from ORD (Chicago) to FRA( Frankfurt, Germany), and the message I have gotten back is something like, "We can't accomodate you at this time" and then it gives a list of non bidding prices for that trip underneath the message. Usually when I don't get a bid, I get a message that says, "we cannot accept your bid," and give me options on how to change my bid. Am I not allowed to bid on flights to europe? I am so confused. Help!! Trying to book a flight for my mother and want to help get her a cheap flight!

I tried $50 but was not successful...will bid a bit higher tomorrow, looking for an airport hotel also but for August...the NH looks great, so I hope I can get it!

The dates I will be traveling to Salzburg are August 6th-8th, 2010.

Have been trying for a while and finally got a great bid. Paid $84 for 4* hotel in Munich, City Center South, and got the Maritim Hotel Muenchen, close to the train station and a 10 min walk to Marienplatz...very happy! It has a rooftop pool, a fitness center, and nice rooms. GREAT for munich for only $84 US dollars per night!

I bid about a week ago for a 4* hotel in Salzburg, Austria. Shot in the dark, bud $60, and GOT IT! It's the NH Salzburg, which happens to be very highly rated and looks very luxurious! Right in the old town... Score!!!

I've been bidding the past week on Munich for Aug 4-6 (2 nights), and we want to be as close to Marienplatz as possible, so City Center South. I had heard that people were getting The Meridien (5 star hotel) for $85 a night but I have had no such luck. I wouldn't mind 4 or 5 stars, but would like to pay under $85 per night. Any suggestions? Salzburg was easy...I got a 5 star hotel for $60 but no such luck with Munich. Help!
