  1. Thanks for your response - very helpful suggestions. After some consideration, we felt splitting the bid is not ideal. We stayed at park central (3*) before, and really liked its location. It's about $300 a night staying there, so we may stay there again this time. Thanks again for your help.
  2. This was a last minute travle plan so we are still not settled on the hotel yet. Ideal area is MTW, UM -CPS, MTE, and MTS, in that order, and 4*; however, 3* is ok in MTW, UM - CPS, MTE. Since the period includes New years eve, it's very hard to say how high I should go with the bid. I went up to $250 for a 4* yesterday with no luck. So what't the best stragety? Splitting the bid would not be ideal due to possibility of switching hotels. I guess I don't have a whole lot choices, do I? How high should I go with a 4*? TIA. P.S. We could accept a 3* in these areas.
  3. I'm willing to pay up to $300 for new year's eve. For the other 5 nights, hopefully ave about $150 per night or even less? In an early post somebody got NY Hilton for $110/night for 01/03-01/06. Thanks for your input.
  4. Please suggest a strategy for bidding on priceline for this stay. Prefer Midtown East or Midtown West, 4 stars. From reading this forum I understand the price on New Year's Eve will be very high, but hope our long stay will bring the average down. What would be a reasonable price per night? A bidding strategy would also be appreciated. Thanks in advance for the help! J
