  1. Price per night: $29 Amenities: Fitness Center, Pool(s), Business Center, Laundry Facilities (self-service), High-Speed Internet Access Thought it was the Radisson Resort, but this is a four star hotel. Any ideas which hotel this could be? Thank you!
  2. Clicked the HOTWIRE link :) Hotel still comes up for $100.
  3. Found a 4* Hotel on Hotwire for 6/3-6/5/2011 in San Juan Amnities shown: Near Beach Oceanfront Casino Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Laundry Golf Looks like the Intercontinental, but I am unsure about "near beach" and "oceanfront". Any ideas? Thank you very much!
  4. I am pretty sury that will be the Hyatt Bonaventure in Weston. Been there a couple of times - it's a great place to stay if you do not miss the bustling atmosphere of South Beach ...
  5. Never had any problems using a German Visa or Mastercard.
  6. Started bidding $80 for resort in Miami Beach & North Beach zones ... rejected ... rebid $100 and added Aventura ... rejected ... rebid $115 and added Coral Gables ... rejected ... added 4* and got the Hyatt Regency. Total incl. charges and taxes is $405 for three nights. Hyatt's cheapest rate totals to $1050+tax :-)
  7. Price per night: $90 -- Offer was marked as "Best Value"

  9. Even if the Bal Harbour Resort earned a couple of bad reviews due to the plans of tearing it down, it's still my favourite. I stayed there almost everytime when I was in Miami. This time I think I made a real bargain :-) Total: $411.50 (incl. Taxes & Fees) Amenities: Resort Oceanfront Restaurant Pool Fitness Spa Golf Business Center
  10. Yes, it's in the USW zone. The bids prior to $84 were $76 and $80. I'm sorry it was the fifth bid, which was succesful.
  11. Ok, we shifted dates and had success ... First bid (USE + USW) $68 was rejected. Second bid (USE + USW + Fisherman's Wharf) $72 was rejected. Also the third bid was rejected (+ Cathedral Hill). After the fourth bid we got a surprise with the Monaco Hotel ... Check-In Date: Friday, July 15, 2005 Check-Out Date: Sunday, July 17, 2005 Hotel Name: Hotel Monaco, 501 Geary St, San Francisco, CA 94102 Your Offer Price: $84.00 Subtotal: $168.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $33.14 Total Charges: $201.14
  12. Yes, the first bid was $52, I guess we started to high ... So here are the details: Check-In Date: July 12, 2005 Check-Out Date: July 14, 2005 Hotel Name: Crowne Plaza Union City Your Offer Price: $52.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 2 Taxes and Service Fees: $19.05 Total Charges: $123.05
  13. And here's the result ... Started bidding $52 for a 2.5* in the Berkeley-Emeryville and Union City zones. We were upgraded to a 3* and got the Crowne Plaza Union City. Well
  14. Looking for a strategy for USE, USW or Fisherman's Wharf. Already tried bidding with $65, $70 and $85, but was rejected. Seems to be a convention in the city?! Thanks again.
  15. @lowballer You are right, but we're coming up from LAX with a rental car. Anyway we decided to split our stay into two parts. Two nights in Oakland and two nights in SFO. I'll post the bidding results later. Thanks again!
  16. Here we go, I did the research :-) The Doubletree Marina in the Berkeley zone would fit our needs perfectly. But I think the problem is that with the Courtyard Emeryville there is another 2.5* hotel in the same zone. So what's your recommendation for a bidding strategy? Thanks!
  17. Tried to get a 4* within the bidding areas Santa Monica & Beverly Hills. Started bidding $82 which was recjected. Then selected Bel Air as a third zone and bid $85 and was also rejected. The last try I made with a 3* within the airport area as an additional zone and the $58 bid made my day at the first try :) In the meantime I read the comments on the Mariott and it seems to be a great bargain.
  18. Just read about free park & ride facilities at the BART stations, so this point does not matter anymore. But any 3* or 4* in theh Bay Area which does not charge horrible parking fees would be still nice. Any bidding strategies recommended? Thanks again!
  19. We're looking for a hotel in the Bay Area close to any BART station and without parking fees. Hotel should be at least a 3*. Any ideas? Thanks for your help!
