  1. I no longer need a hotel for these dates. My friends and I have decided to stay with friends.
  2. Our dates have actually changed. We are now going to be in Barcelona May 15th and 16th. I assume my parents would like to pay around $100 per room.
  3. My parents were unsuccessful with PRICELINE and ended up booking through another site.
  4. Ended up driving up for the day and did not need to stay overnight.
  5. Last post, I promise! My family is coming over to visit and we need accommodations for Barcelona. Just one night, but we are going to be eight adults, so will need three or four rooms. As always, will be using PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links and need something in the center of the city. Would prefer to pay around 100 euro per room, if possible.
  6. Will be traveling to Amsterdam for a long weekend. Never been to this area before, and have no idea where to start. Any suggestions for PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links? Prefer something in the center.
  7. I'm traveling to Paris for the weekend and would like to find a reasonable hotel. Just out of curiosity, what is the average price for either the Montparnasse or Eiffel Tower region for these dates? Will be using the PRICELINE links
  8. Okay, thank you for giving me a starting point. And yes, can you please share the re-bid zones?
  9. I don't have a maximum bid right now - would just like to start looking for a $85 3.5* in those districts. I also know from past experiences I can also bid for a 4* hotel if I am rejected in the 3.5* range. I would just like to know where is a good place to start and if you know what I should expect to pay.
  10. I know from past experiences with 3.5* and 4* there isn't much difference, so I would rather start out bidding for a 3.5* at a lower price. between the two options, I would prefer the 3.5* for $85.
  11. Would prefer at least a 3.5* hotel. If the price could be kept under $100, that would be wonderful! Accessibility to places of interest is also important.
  12. Would like to use the PRICELINE link to find a hotel in San Francisco. This is our first time in the city, so we're really not sure where to stay. Like to stay somewhere in the center, as we will have no car. Can you help me? I don't even know where to begin, i.e. prices, zones, etc.
  13. Looking for a cheap hotel in the NMA area. Just need to go for an overnight trip. Using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links. Can you suggest a price? At least a 3*.
  14. Bids tonight: *$75 for a 4-star in NMA zone. Rejected. *$80 added MP/Loop/GP zone. Rejected. *$85 added 3.5-star. Accepted. Intercontinental Chicago in NMA zone. Actually a 4*.
  15. I've tried for a 3.5* as well....Going to try increasing the bids.
  16. I just placed a bid for $70. Rejected. Added MP/Loop/GP zone. Also rejected.
  17. I've been monitoring Hotwire and noticed a slight dip in prices since last week. I started bidding at $50, just to try. Went up to $60, adding the Loop area. Both bids were rejected. I'm really not willing to stay outside of those two areas. I've exhausted both of my options for tonight, because I know increasing the price doesn't change the original bid. Any suggestions?
  18. The entire NMA/North River area is fine, although I prefer to stay in the area closest to Michigan Ave. 2nd choice for area would be the GP, Loop, MP area, but I would like to stay closer to the river. I looked at HOTWIRE and then took a guess at $70....reason being, I know we're going to have to pay parking, which can be quite costly on a daily basis. Want at least a 3.5* hotel.
  19. Would like to find a hotel using the PRICELINE link. Staying in Chicago - prefer downtown area near Michigan Ave/Mag Mile....Really don't want to pay more than $70 a night (if possible) for a 3.5-4* hotel.
  20. Yes, this is a 3.5*. This price (with taxes and fees) was right at my goal of $650. Seems like a great location. This is our first trip to the city, so the location should be perfect!
  21. Priceline finally accepted my bid of $180....Not sure how I feel about this....Ideas?
