"Just for fun" tried bids of 500 and 750 USD both rejected. I think they just don't have the room, that's it. Wish they could say it directly without making me bidding for 2 weeks. So you can change topic title 750 USD failed bid :)

Have been bidding for 5* Venice and now reached 320 USD(plus more than 100 in taxes), that is 3 times more than mimum winning bid mentioned at forum. I wonder what is their real price, might be going for another destination.

it is pretty normal price for Europe's 5 star hotels. I think in 90% of cases people are having breakfast at the hotel, so it is pretty smart way of misleading the customer... In phone conversation they admitted the rate on hotel's site is better it is a week end rate which they consider to be promotional and best price policy applies to daily rate only! :)

Started bidding with 125 $ adding 25 until reached 225 when was suggested to increase by 40$, I increased to 235 and was suggest to increase to 280, than was final bid of 237, taxes 64,56$. That is 270 USD per night without breafast with value of 42 USD per person = 354 USD per night, while on hotels web site I'd get breafast inclusive for 331 USD, that is priceline rate turned out to be disadvantageous in comparison with public rate for 23 USD per night and 46 USD in total... Reported it to priceline, no reply for the moment.

the hotel I've chosen in the end was 80 euro (120 USD). But it was few steps from my main destination, it had free parking. The problem is priceline doesn't properly divide Turin in zones and it's pretty big city. So I could offer more and get a room on the other end of the city without breakst included and parking.

Bids were 45, 60, 70. At the last bid I was proposed to increase it by 22 but it was too much I just booked through ordinary site. That was for today 24 October Pls correct "bidding" in topic :)

3-6 December actually no bidding history, first bid worked, maybe not too wise but I'm still satisfied with price in comparison to those listed on popular booking sites :)
