  2. Tried it again for a friend and got the same deal for the 10-13!! Tried to get the 9th as well but it was not available.
  3. After spending too much time looking for hotels in the Times Square area with no luck, I thought the MTE would be good. I started at $151, then $178, then $201...adding zones without 4* hotels each time. Then they offered me to room if I raised it to $242. I added another zone and bid $221 and got it! It's not cheap, but for the second weekend in December whe everything is CRAZY expensive, it's a great deal....especially for a 4*. Called hotel...rooms reserved are Wonderful Queen non-smoking rooms. Regular rate is $569/night. W New York Hotel on Lexington Ave.
  4. I can't seem to find this hotel on the HOTWIRE hotel list. My dates are Dec. 10-13. Result is 4* with Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, Laundry Facilities, High-speed Internet Access. There is not feedback rating. Maybe this is the new Inter-Continental opening this summer? Anyone? :)
  5. On Hotwire now there is a 4 star for $143 in Midtown East area. The Hotwire hotel list makes it sound like it could be Grand Hyatt or the Inter-Continental The Barclay. I would love the Hyatt, but not the Barclay. For the amenities, it says, "Tennis Nearby" and that's why I am confused based on the hotel list. Thoughts anyone? :) Dates are April 16-19
  6. Hotwire has a 3.5 star for $309/night for those dates so the total it $723. Based on the Hotwire Hotel List it looks like it's one of these: 3.5* Millenium Broadway (previously 4*) Amenities: Restaurant, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business (same as Crowne Plaza) 3.5* The Time Hotel Amenities: Restaurant, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business Good luck!
  7. I have lurked here for a while and got some good suggestions, but thought I would officially join to list my latest deal. It looks like the first weekend in December is CRAZY expensive (holiday shopping i Imagine). I have done tons of research and everything just seems to be going up, not down. 2.5 star hotels are $400. I bid up to $220 on PRICELINE (wanting to stay in Times Square but included rebid options) and nothing...finally, on HOTWIRE I saw: Times Square - Theatre District **** - $235 Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access Spa Services Based on the hotel list on this site I knew it was the Westin or the W. I booked on September 15 and the price seems to have gone up and up. It's now $339. Anyway, just my experience. Keeping an eye on HOTWIRE might be a better option for this weekend as of now.
